ROMANIA

"Did you think I wouldn't find out?!" The Baron yelled angrily.

I was currently in his office, kneeling down in front of his desk. He had somehow found out about my job at the restaurant and wasn't happy about it. I glanced at the Head maid, the Baroness's personal maid and the Butler. Oh, I wonder how he found out. I rolled my eyes.

The timing was impeccable.

"You dare roll your eyes at me?!" He grabbed his tea, which was still hot by the way and threw it at me.

My eyes widened. No way, he didn't just...

I quickly put up my hands to cover my face. He threw not only the tea but the whole tea cup.

This damn bastard. I glared at him not even bothering to conceal my real emotions. Luckily my face was unharmed but my hands were burnt by the hot tea. The teacup was broken in bits of pieces in front of me, having bounced off my hands.

I stood up. "So what if I'm working to get some income? It's not like you give me a single penny!"

I was so angry and frustrated at the entire situation. What was even worse was that hot tears were pouring out of my eyes. At first, I thought it was just from the pain of getting burnt. But this body seemed to be crying from the injustice of this situation.

"How dare a daughter of a Baron work at a commoner's restau—" I rolled my eyes, despite my tears and appearance.

"Oh, so now I'm your daughter," I interjected.

The Baron stood up with his hand raised, at the desk. His whole face was red, he did look like he was going to explode.

"You insoluent—" He began but he was interrupted again but this time by the Baroness coming in. She came in feigning shock and worry.

"Oh, my Husband. Calm down. This isn't how we should handle this situation." She said looking like she was pouting but when she opened her fan I didn't miss the smirk on her face.

"Why don't we put her on probation." She began as she spoke to her husband.

I clenched my dress. Ha, let them do what they want. I'll be leaving soon anyway.

"And take away all the money she made from that dirty place." My eyes widened. No, no they can't do that.

My eyes began watering again because now I really felt pitiful. If they took away my money—which I worked for, sacrificing my sleep for—how would I manage to leave this place?

"You can't do that." I held onto my bag.

Luckily, after reading Sylvia's letter. I put both the necklace and the letter in my dress. But I still had some money in this bag. Sure, I had some stashed away in my room but they couldn't take away my money.

"Oh, but we can and we will." She said with a sinister smile and at that moment I thought that she looked like a real villaness. The Baron calmed down and nodded.

Then a guard began walking near me. I took a step backwards.

"Stop."
