that time in 6th grade when all the girls wanted it

Y'all 😭 ✋

Please don't judge us we were eleven when this happened.

SO.

The one girl who had her period was the most popular girl in our intermediate school (fifth and sixth grade) so during the awkward time when nobody really had it but we all knew what they were there was a lot of period related conversation. One day, I was sitting with three other girls, Fiona, Emily, and V.

V was the one who had her period already, so by default she thought she was better than us in some way. We were all sitting on top of the monkey bar circle in absolute silence and then Fiona decides to start a conversation about...you guessed it! OUR PRETEND PERIODS.

What I mean by "pretend periods" is our imaginary periods we only talked about to seem cool in front of V. We all knew they were fake, idk why but we just knew V was the only one who legit had one. Eventually we started talking about tampons.

"I think tampons are scary" Fiona says

"Y'all are wimps" I say, emphasizing my nonexistent southern accent because that was my entire personality in front of the popular kids. (I had a personality, but only in front of the queer kids for some bizarre reason)

V agrees with me "I can't believe you three don't use tampons, you like wearing diapers?"

The three of us just stare at V blankly because we don't want to admit that we don't even have our periods yet.

"Oh yeah" V says, "you three  don't even have your periods yet, of course you like pads, you're still babies."

Emily looks offended and tries to dramatically get off the monkey bars but hits her head on the way down.

"You okay there?" I ask Emily. She furiously nods, cheeks bright red, and stomps off.

Soon after Emily left, the break was over and we all got down. When we got down, you could see the wings of V's pad because she never wore anything under her skirts.

*deep breath*

THIS GIRL HAD THE AUDACITY TO CALL THE OTHER GIRLS BABIES FOR BEING AFRAID OF TAMPONS BUT WAS A PAD GIRL HERSELF.
