"Your leaving?" Gyuvin exclaimed in shock.
The atmosphere had gone from warm to cold instantly.
"I'm so sorry Gyuvin, but we'll come visit you guys often! It's just been hard in Korea, and moving to Canada might be better for us."
"Wow, that's definitely not what I was expecting." Taerae gasped
"I'd never thought you guys would leave Korea." Gunwook added.
While the others were talking about Matthew and Jiwoong's move to Canada, Gyuvin slowly tuned them out. He could only hear his painful thoughts.
How could his friends leave him? First Ricky, and now them? It was like the world wanted him to suffer, like he was being punished for something he did in his past life.
Matthew and Jiwoong were planning to move to Canada, which was miles away, and Gyuvin wasn't sure if he could take that.
Gyuvin just sat there, looking down at his plate, hoping all of this was some strange nightmare. He would literally hope for any other news, but he didn't want his friends to leave him.
They were practically his family, and he remembered how helpful Jiwoong and Matthew were at his lowest times.
"Gyuvin?"
"Gyuvin?"
"Gyuvin!"
Gyuvin broke out of his trance. "Oh huh?"
Jiwoong gave him a concerned look. "You look really pale. Here, drink this."
Jiwoong held a cup to Gyuvin's lips, but before Gyuvin could part his mouth and feel the taste of the cold water, he felt the hard, cold ground instead.
Chaos ensued as Gyuvin fell to the floor, his head hitting the ground pretty hard. Yujin tried to catch Gyuvin before he fainted, but he wasn't fast enough.
"Gyuvin? Gyuvin, wake up!" Hanbin shouted, trying to shake the boy awake.
Gyuvin wasn't sure what happened. He could hear and feel the others yelling and shaking him, but he couldn't open his eyes. It was pitch black.
Gyuvin thought maybe he died for a second, but quickly realized how stupid that sounded. He thought about how this might be similar to how Ricky felt. Nothingness.
"Shit someone call an ambulance!" A voice shouted
Gyuvin couldn't make out who was yelling. It was just a voice, and soon he heard nothing at all. Slowly, all the voices mushed into one, and that one voice turned into silence.
"Maybe we should've waited for a better time to move, huh?" Matthew said, leaning into Jiwoong's neck.
The seven boys were in a hospital room, with Gyuvin lying down. They were all so used to seeing Ricky on the bed, but now it was different. It hurt them to see another one of their friends in the hospital.
The doctor walked into the room and, coincidentally, was the one who treated Ricky. "Ah, it's nice to see you boys again. It's quite surprising to see Gyuvin like this."
"How is he, doctor?" Yujin asked.
"Well," The doctor said while flipping through his notes. "Gyuvins fine, and if anything, in good health. He might feel a slight headache from the impact of hitting the ground, but he should be fine. Was there anything to trigger this?"
"Oh, we had some unexpected news that we told Gyuvin. Could that be it?" Zhanghao said.
Gyuvin woke up to the sudden change in volume. With the doctor and his friends talking, it was a little loud.
