"No way...ricky?"

Gyuvin shot up from the couch to bring him into his embrace. Gyuvin was totally expecting for this to be a hallucination, but when he felt the blondes arms wrap around him, he knew it was real.

Gyuvin didn't even know when he started crying, but he did. He practically tackled Ricky to the ground. Where he lied on top of Ricky, sobbing.

"Careful Gyuvin! Ricky just got discharged from the hospital." Jiwoong reminded him.

But he didn't care. He just needed to make up for the two years gone.

"No hello, Gyu?" Ricky chuckled.

"Please tell me this isn't a dream...I can't.."

Gyuvin could hear Ricky's heartbeat, and tears kept flowing out. Seeing Ricky awake and alive was unreal.

"I'm here, Gyuvin; it's really me. I got your gift."

Ricky was wearing Gyuvin's matching ring on his finger, and everything felt right again. Everything felt right because Ricky was with him.

Gyuvin had a million questions. He had just seen Ricky in the hospital bed hours ago, but now he was awake in front of him. Before Gyuvin could even ask, Ricky beat him to it.

"I woke up early in the morning, Gyuvin. I wanted everyone to keep it a secret so I could surprise you. I didn't want to see you for the first time in years in a hospital.. didn't feel right."

Gyuvin was now clutching onto Ricky's tearstained shirt for dear life. All the words and emotions he'd been holding in for so long spilled out.

"Please, please forgive me, Ricky. I'm so sorry. All of that was my fault. If I hadn't asked you to come over that day, none of this wouldn't have happened, and i-"

Ricky shushed Gyuvin. "No Gyuvin. I don't want to hear any of that. None of this was your fault, okay? I don't blame you for anything. We can talk about this another day, but right now I'd like to spend Christmas with you."

"Aye, come on, Gyuvin, I want a hug from Ricky too!" Zhanghao whined.

But neither Gyuvin nor Ricky let go. They couldn't, not after the years they spent apart. With Ricky back, Gyuvin knew things were going to get better.

"We have so much to catch up on. First of all, we added a new member to the family." Gyuvin looked up to point at Strawberry, who was in Taerae's lap.

Ricky scrunched up his face. "A cat? Why do you need a cat when you have me?"

Gyuvin missed this. He missed Ricky so much and couldn't wait for their future together.

"If I need to remind you ricky, you left me for two years. Plus, doesn't it look a lot like you? It acts just like you do. Having strawberries really helped me when you were gone. I don't think I would've made it through it without him."

"You really named it strawberry?"

"In honour of you, of course."

The cat jumped out of Taerae's lap and made its way to Ricky and Gyuvin on the floor.

"I don't like it." Ricky said

Gunwook laughed. "There's no way you don't like the cat, Ricky. Youre literally a cat trapped in a human's body. I think you're just jealous."

"I'm not jealous!"

Gyuvin cupped Ricky's face. "Yeah, you totally are."

Strawberry curled up to Ricky's side, clicking to him instantly, and Ricky couldn't help but feel affectionate to  the cat. It was indeed too cute to stay mad at.

"Now can we open presents, lovebirds? I need to see if Jiwoong hyung got me that new game." Yujin exclaimed.

This was everything Gyuvin wanted and more—for things to go back to normal and for everyone to be together again.

While Yujin opened his gifts, Gyuvin noticed the rings on Ricky's finger.

"Do you like my gift?"

Ricky smiled. "Yeah, it's beautiful, truly beautiful. Thanks gyuvin. I wish I could have gotten you a gift too."

"You being here is enough for me." Gyuvin held Ricky's hand. "I wouldn't ask for anything else. I waited for you for two years; I showed up every day, you know?"

"I'm sure you did, Gyu. Thanks for being there even though you were hurting. You'll still give me your attention, right?" Ricky was now petting Strawberry with his other free hand.

"Jesus, you're so cute. Strawberry won't ever replace you; no one could. I only adopted Strawberry because he's just like you. We could start a family, you know?"

Ricky blushed. "A family? That would be nice. Maybe not now, but one day?"

Gyuvin gasped. "Oh my god! I've got some major drama you missed out on."

And the two were back to normal. Like, none of this ever happened.

"So you're telling me Junhyeon and Taerae got fired from work because their boss caught them making out in his office?" Ricky said in disbelief.

"Yep. Taerae says they weren't making out, but they totally were. It was so funny."

"God, they're so gross."

"Yeah, so gross."

"Hey gyuvin?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you."

Taerae gagged. "You guys are the gross ones."

"Yeah okay keep making out with junhyeon in your bosses office." Gyuvin fought back.

Gyuvin couldn't be happier. Talking about things could wait for another day. It was now the three of them, not just the two of them.

Yeah. Definitely best christmas ever.
