Now, we see Valencia in the dark under her blanket, jump upright on her bed with her phone in hand after reading the novel Daniel has written. She is amazed and says, "Well, it feels so great to see a couple together." Then she jumps up from her bed, goes and sits straight at her chair, and switches on her laptop. She says, "The novel is so sweet. My fan fiction has to be more than that." She starts writing her fan fiction with speed at night and is very excited.
The next scene shows Valencia waiting nervously outside Mr. Victor's office. When Mr. Victor approaches her and gestures for her to open the door and come inside, she immediately does so. Mr. Victor goes and sits on his chair while Valencia starts to say the bad news, "Mr. Victor, regarding the copyright of Shining Like Stars..." But Mr. Victor interrupts her and says, "I read the novel you sent me. Its theme and readership statistics are indeed not bad. Carry on and try to get its copyright." Valencia gulps, as she knows that Daniel is very hard to approach, and now she has to do get the copyright.
Then Mr. Victor says, "One more thing. Considering how poorly the industry is doing, we must be cautious when it comes to content. We need to go with one that is of good quality and influential. That way, we have the upper hand when negotiating with streaming platforms." While they are talking about this, Stella enters the office. Then Valencia says, "Mr. Victor...." and as she is about to speak, Stella interrupts her and keeps a file on the desk, saying, "Here's the screenplay evaluation report. It's a project with a lot of potential." Mr. Victor rummages through the pages and finally says, "Okay, not bad. Each of you will find me an IP. Whoever manages to get a well-suited one will be our company's first planner of IP adaption." Valencia looks up at him in despair and shock. Stella, in a very confident way, says, "Mr. Victor, I will not let you down for sure." After hearing this, Mr. Victor looks at Valencia. She puts on a smile and nods in affirmation. Mr. Victor says, "Go ahead." Valencia looks a bit shocked and almost stumbles while leaving. As she leaves, Mr. Victor smiles at Stella, gestures her to sit, and says, "Have a seat." She smiles, takes a chair, and sits. When Valencia comes out, her friend Eve rushes to her and says, "Val, Shining Like Stars is truly a good read! And I think the fictional company resembles ours very closely. Our company is called 'Novels2Screen Studios,' and the fictional one is named 'Page2Screen Studios.' I thought the author created it based on our company. Also, there are characters named 'Eve' and 'Adam.' I felt as if I were in its fictional world." Valencia has an amazed and awestruck expression on her face as she says, "You read it?" Eve replies, "Yeah." And Valencia shouts out loud happily, "Finally, I have someone to ship the CP (Novel Couple) with! Yay!" And then they notice that everyone is looking at them, so they calm down. Eve asks, "How's the negotiation going? I really love this novel. I'd like to meet the author in real life." Valencia replies, "Well, I'll do my best to get his approval." Her friend Eve says, "Okay, I have faith in you." They look at the office where Stella and Mr. Victor are laughing and talking. Eve remarks, "This Stella, she visits our boss's office all the time. What a bootlicker she is." Eve and Valencia exchange a knowing glance. Eve continues, "But, Val, I still believe in you. And I am looking forward to the day you will turn the tables around." Valencia says with confidence, "Yes!" and makes a courageous face. Both friends then return to their work.
We see Valencia waiting near the lift where Mr. Daniel lives. She notices a deliveryman standing nearby, holding a box with the name "Daniel" on it. An evil smirk crosses her face. She turns to the deliveryman and says, "Excuse me! Are you delivering this parcel to 301?" The deliveryman replies, "Yes." Valencia smiles and in her mind thinks, "Ahhh! Val, today is your lucky day!" She turns back to him and says, "I was just wondering why the receiver had the same name as my brother's. It's really my brother's parcel! Why don't you give this to me? I'll just pass it to him. You wouldn't have to do it yourself." The deliveryman looks unsure and hesitates, to assure him, she says, "The last four numbers of his contacts are '7734.'" He checks his phone and Valencia continues, "He's 1.83m tall with a cold, unfriendly face. Do you remember him?" He looks convinced and says, "Fine, please put a signature here for him." She agrees, makes her signature on the sheet of paper, and when she takes the box from the deliveryman, she says, "My god, what did he buy? It's so heavy." The deliveryman says, "Well, thank you for your help." Valencia replies, "I should be the one saying thank you," and the deliveryman leaves. She takes her visiting card and slides it into the box, enters the lift, presses the third floor button, and waits.
