[A day in the life of being parents to a hyperactive toddler :) [C/N] = Childs Name.]

"[C/N]! get back here!" You say across the house as your daughter giggles, running away from you completely nude and soaking wet. You just took her our of the bath and like always, the first thing she does is run around the house getting everything wet. You start to chase her, with a towel in your arms. "[C/N]!"

"You can't get me, mommy!" She giggles out. Of course you always entertained her by pretending to be slower, but as of recently she's become clever about it, making it genuinely hard for you to catch her, but not today. Oh definitely not today.

As little [C/N] ran past the front door, her father came home from work, seeing her run past, he threw his things to the floor, and scooped her up, making her squeal then laugh. Unfortunately making his clothes drenched. You jog to them both, Mark tickling her in his arms. "Least someone can catch her..." You huff out, Mark laughing at you pausing the tickling and grabbing the towel from your hands.

"Looks like your stressing your mom out again, [C/N]." She giggles as Mark places her to the floor, wrapping her towel around her.

"You told me too!"

"Shhhh what did I say about telling her?!" They joke as you stand threw smiling at them, your heart feeling warm. "Now go get dressed." She nods, Mark ruffling her hair before she runs off to her room. Once she was out of sight, Mark pulls you in for a hug, then kisses your forehead. "I still can't believe she's 3 now, she's growing so fast."

"Ugh tell me about it. How was work?"

"Ah same old. Glad to be home with my girls." He chuckles, kissing you on the lips. "Whats for dinner today?"

"Actually not too sure, Eli and Cjay have invited us over."

"Oh really? Short notice."

"Yeah tell me about it, but it's good for [C/N] to go over. Keeps her socialised, plus she adores Nina." Mark chuckles.

"Yeah she does. Maybe we should get a dog."

"Pft, yeah, right. Your daughter is a handful on her own."

"Hey she's 50% of you too." As Mark finished his sentence, [C/N] came running back downstairs with the outfit you picked out for her, which was some leggings, her favourite top and jacket.

"We're seeing Auntie Eli?" She says cheerfully. Mark nods smiling at her excitement.

"Hell yeah we are! You excited?"

"Yeah!!"

The 3 of you knock on Eli's door, the short blonde answers the door. "Hey your here!!"

"Auntie Eli!" [C/N] says, jumping to her, Eli laughs then picks her up.

"Someone's excited to see me." Eli walks in, you and Mark following. As always Nina comes running over to you both to greet you, after giving her a big fuss, she runs off to see [C/N].

"Hey guys." Cjay says from the couch as you all walk in. Eli places [C/N[ down, opening the back door to the garden to allow her to play with Nina. Mark sits besides Cjay, as you go to the kitchen with Eli. Today she was making her famous spaghetti carbonara, which was one of your daughters favourite meals.

You and Eli had casual chat, as she preps the meal, mid conversation you look out the kitchen window, seeing [C/N] play with Nina, giggling her head off. "She loves Nina."

"Hm? Oh yeah, Ninas always been really good with children, but honestly I never expected her to be THIS good. She's like [C/N] furry play mate." Eli laughs.

"Well thanks to Nina she's not scared of any animals."

"Why don't you guys consider a pet?"

"Mike suggested that too." You still felt weird using Marks fake name. Even after 3 years.

"Well I see that as a sign. Plus if you get one as a new born, you can introduce them to Nina. It'll do the same thing as its done to [C/N]. Plus you've got us around the corner for help."

"Thanks Eli. If we did get one, I'd want a small one." Eli laughs.

"Oh yeah definitely start small. We only got a big dog straight away because we both separately grew up with big dogs. And when I was a teenager I helped raise my parents dog who was a male husky, so I already had some experience from that."

"I've never had a pet before, ever."

"It's a nice feeling having a little furry friend, [Fake Name]. You'll appreciate their company, and if its a dog, you'll appreciate the protection when Mike isn't around."

"I guess your right. I'll think about it."

"Why not get a cat? I used to look after my auntie-in-laws cats, they're ALOT easier then dogs. By a long shot." Eli chuckles slightly. "Only difficult decision is deciding if you want them to be a indoor or outdoor cat."

"I'll think about it. I appreciate knowing your just next door. And you always seem to be more logical then me despite the age gap." You laugh, practically calling yourself old.

"I'm just a little therapist what can I say?"

-

After a long night, the 3 of you headed home, Mark had [C/N] on his back giving her a piggy back ride due to how tired she was, the beauty of spending the evening with Eli and Cjay is that your daughter always came home exhausted. "Time for bed?"

"Y-yeah..." [C/N] says between yawns, making you both chuckle. You unlock the door, allowing you both in, you then all head upstairs. Getting [C/N] into her pajamas and into bed, you tuck her into bed, kissing her on the forehead.

"Goodnight. We love you."
