Runny noses, puffy eyes, and tear-stained cheeks.

Today's the burial. Today's when both of them will be buried six feet underground. Their caskets next to each other's just like we all believe they would have wanted.

She left first, and he followed very shortly after. No one ever saw them before they decided to leave the earth. They didn't let others see them at their weakest point in their lives. They only had each other in the long tunnel of pain and suffering before finally seeing the light.

I can just envision them holding each other's hand as they walked towards their death. Having one another, I'm sure they didn't have many regrets, and if they had one, they would've only regretted ending it unexpectedly.

Because they could've lived. They could've lived longer if not forever. If only they hadn't let them. If only they hadn't supported their stupid decision to leave the hospital.

My fist lands harshly on Kuroo-san's cheek, creating a loud thud on impact. He gets thrown off a step back, hand on his cheek as he moves his jaw to ease himself from the pain. I clench my fist tightly, glaring down at him as anger consumes me.

"You're supposed to be wiser than him... why didn't you stop them from leaving?" I ask, chest heaving as I cry at the thought of my friends walking to their deaths the moment they decided to run away from the hospital. "She had an aortic aneurysm, and he had bone cancer—why did you let them leave?"

They had just been buried. Kuroo-san stood quietly as the burial transpired. It pissed me off to think he could've saved them both, but he didn't. Now, everyone left, and here we are by their tombstones, arguing because I cannot get my head around how he just let them go.

"He begged," he answers, raising his head to look at me. His brows are furrowed. "He begged me to let them be."

"You should've said no!"

He takes huge steps forward, stomping his feet, until he reaches me and our faces just in front of each other's. Angrily, he asks in return, "Do you really think I didn't try to stop them, huh? Do you really think I didn't lecture him about what the consequences would be?"

"You should've called their doctors. Kei was being an idiot, and (Y/n)—(Y/n) of course would be just as stupid! They were in love! They think that it's them against the fucking world! They think that going out for one day would be nothing!"
