Chapter 6

It's been a few days since they both returned from Gemini's home. They both followed their daily routine. Fourth would wake up early and cook for both of them. Gemini would wake up late and enjoy the food Fourth had cooked. Then they would both go to university together and come back together in Fourth's car. They tried to get to know each other better in these few days. They would tease and flirt with each other.

It was the weekend, and Fourth decided that he would ask Gemini to go watch movies together, and then he would confess his feelings and ask Gemini to be his boyfriend. They were sitting together and working on their assignments.

"Gem..." Fourth said.

"Yes..." Gemini turned to look at him.

"I got two tickets for the newly released movie....do you want to go watch it with me this evening?"

Gemini smiled. "Are you asking me out on a date?"

"Well... kind of."

"Really...." his eyes shined. Fourth nodded.
Gemini cleared his throat and looked back at his notebook. "How can I say no to you?" he said, suppressing his smile.

It was already evening. Gemini stood in front of his wardrobe, unable to decide what he should wear. He wanted to look good today. After an hour of throwing his clothes out of his wardrobe, he decided to wear a sky blue shirt tucked in with matching pants.

It highlighted his slim waist, and the color made his skin shine even more. He opened the door and saw Fourth waiting for him, his back leaned against the wall, arms crossed in front of his chest. Fourth looked at Gemini from head to toe and stood up straight, staring at him.

"Is there something on my face?" Gemini said, touching his cheeks.

"What... no... no... you are looking pretty," Fourth said, taking a step forward. Gemini blushed and looked away.

"Let's go," Fourth said.

Gemini nodded. As they both stepped forward, Gemini's phone rang. He picked up.

"Hello?"

"Hello... who is it?"

Fourth looked at him. The smile on Gemini's face immediately dropped, his pupils started shaking in fear, and his hands started shaking. He cut the call immediately.

Fourth looked at him, concerned. "Are you alright?" Fourth asked.

Ring~

A notification popped up on Gemini's phone screen. Gemini immediately clicked it, his eyes widened in fear.

Fourth stepped forward and put his hand on Gemini's shoulder. "Did something happen?" he asked, concerned.

Gemini removed the other's hand from his shoulder. "I need to go."

Fourth held his wrist. "Where are you going?" he asked.

"My... my friend... needs my help with something," he said, removing Fourth's hand.

"Which friend?"

"You don't know him."

"I can come with you," Fourth said, stepping forward.

"No, Fourth. I can go myself," he replied, hurrying towards the door.

"What about the movie?" he asked, but Gemini just hurriedly left.  Fourth sighed and entered his room, laying on his back on the bed. His head was filled with so many questions.

Why did Gemini look so scared when that person called, whom Gemini claimed was his friend? Why didn't Gemini want him to know about his past? Why didn't he tell him about the painting? Why was only that painting dark, while all the other paintings he saw were beautiful and cheerful? Why did Gemini's mother mention Satang in relation to the incident? Was Satang connected to the incident? He ran his fingers through his hair in frustration, closed his eyes, and sleep overtook him.

After some time, he woke up and saw that it was already eleven at night. He thought Gemini would have come back. He checked his room and bathroom, but no one was there. He tried calling him many times, but no one picked up. He started getting worried. It was not like Gemini at all; he would always pick up his calls immediately.

"Come on, pick up your phone, Gem," he said frustratedly. He tried calling Winny and Satang, maybe they knew about this friend of Gemini, but no one picked up.

"Fuck," he cursed as he threw his phone on the bed. He laid down on the bed and closed his eyes to calm himself down.

The next day, he woke up with a headache. It was already 8 in the morning. He went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. He heard the door opening and turned around to see Gemini.

"You're back... where have you been all night? I tried calling you so many times, but you didn't answer my calls... I was so worried," he said, moving towards him.

"Sorry, my friend had an accident, so I was with him all night," Gemini replied. Fourth noticed Gemini's clothes. He was wearing a brown hoodie and black trousers.

"Did you change your clothes? These weren't the ones you were wearing yesterday."

"Ah... yes... I borrowed my friend's... mine got dirty."

"You should go take a nap... you look quite tired... I will wake you up when breakfast is ready," Fourth said.

He decided not to question Gemini as he looked quite tired. There were light dark circles under his eyes, as if he hadn't slept all night. Gemini nodded and left for his room. After Fourth finished making breakfast, he set up two plates on the table. He heard footsteps and turned around to see Gemini hurrying towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Fourth asked.

"To meet my friend..." he replied.

"What about breakfast?"

"I will eat outside... and no need to wait for me, I'll be back late." With that, he opened the door and left.

"Who is this friend?" Fourth said, annoyed. Why does Gemini care about him so much? He felt jealous and clenched his hands in anger.

Although Gemini had told Fourth not to wait for him, he couldn't help but wait. He wanted to ask Gemini who this friend was. He heard the door opening and turned around to see Gemini.

"I told you not to wait," he said when he saw Fourth approaching him.

"Who is your friend that had an accident?" he asked.

"I told you, Fourth, you don't know him."

"Then tell me," Fourth raised his voice a little. He looked at Gemini's neck and noticed some red marks.

"What are these marks?" he said, trying to touch his neck, but Gemini held his hand.

"I'm tired. I'm going to sleep," he said, trying to cover his neck adjusting his hoodie.

"Wait..." Fourth said, trying to hold his wrist, but Gemini immediately backed away. Fourth looked at him with furrowed eyebrows.

"Good night," Gemini said and left for his room.

'Those marks,' Fourth thought. He furrowed his brow and clenched his hands.
