Chapter 8

"I'm not going anywhere," Fourth stroked his hair. "But you have to tell me the truth."

"I-I'll tell you everything... I will t-tell you the truth... please don't hate me, Fourth," he sobbed hard. His grip tightened on Fourth's shirt, his fingers were digging into Fourth's flesh.

"I don't hate you... how can I hate you... hmm..." Fourth massaged his back to calm him down.

"Look at me." He struggled to pull out of the embrace. Gemini finally released him and looked at him with his swollen red eyes.

"Let's go inside the room and talk... okay?" Fourth said, caressing his cheeks. Gemini nodded. Fourth helped him to stand up and made him sit on the bed, and he sat in front of him. Fourth gave him a glass of water and helped him to calm down. After a few minutes, Gemini finally broke the silence.

"Fourth, that day when I received the call, it was not from my friend..." he paused. "He was my ex." He looked at Fourth, but there was no expression on Fourth's face.

Gemini told him the whole story.

It happened when he was in high school. One day, a boy named Joshua approached him and confessed that he had liked him for a long time. Joshua was a senior, while Gemini was not really interested in having relationships, so he rejected him. However, Joshua started following him around and sending him gifts. He even introduced him to his friends and his younger brother, Satang. Gemini and Satang became quite close, and Satang persuaded Gemini to give Joshua a chance. So, they started dating.

It went well for the first month, but then Joshua started touching Gemini inappropriately without his permission. Gemini didn't like his touch at all. Then, one day, he found out that Joshua had made a bet with his friends to sleep with Gemini. Gemini was deeply hurt by this revelation. He asked Satang about it, but Satang claimed that he didn't know about the bet and genuinely believed that Joshua liked Gemini.

Gemini decided to meet Joshua and end things between them. Joshua told Gemini to meet him at his friend's place. When Gemini arrived, he saw that Joshua and his friend were both quite drunk. Gemini was sexually assaulted and violated by Joshua. Fortunately, Satang came to his rescue. After the incident, Satang felt incredibly guilty because he had pushed Gemini to have a relationship with his brother. Joshua faced legal consequences, but his punishment was reduced due to his intoxicated state of mind.

After that incident, rumors spread throughout the school, and people started bullying Gemini and talking badly about him. According to them, it was Gemini's own fault because he went there on his own will even after finding out Joshua's evil intensions.

Hearing the whole story Fourth's eyes widened in fear, anger, and it was like someone had stabbed him hard. He couldn't breathe. The boy in front of him, whose smile can cure people's hearts, whose smile gave him positive energy, no one can think that this boy had gone through this much. No one can think that deep down, this boy walks around with that much pain in his heart.

Fourth put his hands on Gemini's shoulders and pulled him into an embrace. Gemini buried his face into his neck.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry I made you say all these... I made you think about that painful time..." Fourth pulled apart. He looked at Gemini, seeing him like that made his heart break.

Fourth pulled him close, and their lips touched each other. Gemini closed his eyes, feeling Fourth's lips moving along his. After a few seconds, they pulled apart. Fourth rested his forehead on Gemini's and caressed his cheeks.

Gemini looked at Fourth and said, "Everyone said that I was sickening. They said that being gay was disgusting enough, and now I was assaulted." He looked down, feeling dejected.
