Chapter 3 - Obstacles

Benji was out training one day and a human was running for their lives from a bear. He sensed the fear and terror in his voice as he screamed for help.

"SOMEBODY HELP ME!"

*Bear closing in...*

GGGGRRRRRRAAAA!!!

The human got into a tree, but the branch fell as the bear started climbing. Before the bear could attack and maul the human, the two younger hybrids attacked the bear.

Benji got there and smelled the blood of the human from his injuries and he started to twitch as the blood rush lingered greatly.

"Na no, no NO!", Benji attacked the bear instead as he resisted the urge to feed on the human. The other two hybrids did the same. The human was unconscious so by the time he woke up Benji and the two sibling hybrids stood over him in human form. They got him help and eventually he was taken for medical attention.

"I am very proud of you 3.", said the chief.

"Yes this proves you can withstand the obstacles of blood lust from your vampire side.", the mother added as she poured coffee with pig blood in it.

They would drink blood in their drinks as they got use to the flavors of it and ate like a normal human would.

"Well we appreciate it. We've been trying our hardest to adjust and help protect the neighboring villages and towns from both ends."

"And it helps that we can use both our senses tracking down bad guys/girls who dare threaten these lands and the people and other living things here.", added one the hybrids Michael.

His 'twin' rather childhood friend Michelle grew up together so they became inseparable. They became hybrids when the attacker attacked the tribe before the search began. It was then discovered Michelle was yet another female wolf who out of desperation transitioned into her lycan self to help he family and protect herself. They were discovered by Benji and the other two older wolves shortly after they healed from the cave battle.

"Seems you have your own pack now son."

"I'm trying not to let the power go to my head."

"WE DON'T WANT THEM HERE!"

[They all turn to look outside.]

"That sounds like hate to me!"

Benji got up from the table and went outside with the others following to see what the commotion was about. It seemed that one of the lycanthropes saw it was not a good idea to mingle with the 'outsiders' as he convinced some of the elders otherwise.

"It is not your place to make those calls.", said Sarah.

"Joe is the rightful heir to this pack and he let you take his place sense you were older and the other Alpha was hurt."

Ray was a stubborn individual. He was the beta to the pack Joe was apart of. When his leader got hurt during one of the hunts he gave Ray his blessing to lead until he had fully recovered. But Ray was very mean and cold hearted. He was always trying to pick fights to show how tough he was. He even fought the injured Alpha to take an advantage to take over the pack.
