Chapter 4 - Thanksgiving

It's been 5 years since the first family Thanksgiving at Benji's when both families all met up at the doctors home to celebrate the peace that became a blessing to both sides that turned into a beautiful friendship. A family hood that did away with the natural or of being enemies.

Benji's parents had since long passed due to unforeseen circumstances and many things had changed. He was now a new local hero and had since then taken over in the neighboring town and was in control of the newbie vampires in that territory. Other factions had formed from other species such as witches, warlocks and other powerful beings.

Humans were still unsuspecting of the world beyond them, which was a good thing. Ignorance is bliss as they say. There was a peace between all factions and people lived in harmony. Yet there were those who didn't want that. That's the way life is. Good vs bad. Holy vs evil. The natural order of things.

Back home, Joseph was now married to Jamie and an Alpha after he accepted his birth right of his father, who was now married to Melody, became the chief of the tribe council. Joe's beta was Sarah and his omega was Sarah's little brother Solomon. After Abraham (Abe) and Sarah got married, they went on their honeymoon up north. Sarah was in heat she became pregnant and they were overjoyed they could create life for that seemed taboo to both of them giving their circumstances. There's always a loophole.

Dr. Lestant and Susan, Sarah's and Solomon's mother, were now married also. Rachel had a car shop with one of the 'wolf boys' she bonded with and Edmond would spend his days working out, playing sports and dating a wolf girl himself. The Lestant household were honorary members of the tribe.

In the city, things were more fast and upbeat. But also very chaotic. Factions started turning into gang wars and vampires, especially newbies, would fight over territory. One the old enemies had returned to get revenge for her lovers demise. And it was the wolves who caused it. Before that a very bad storm headed their way as it seemed nature was unbalanced.

"Wth is going on around here?", said the redhead vampire Bailey.

"It seems nature is upset or someone is playing with fire somewhere."

Benji was then met by Joe and the priest Joel.

They were preparing for emergency evacuations as Benji told the others that he is on his way to warn some people he knew and he and Joe went their separate ways to prepare for the storm to come.

"Bro. You think this storm is a normal hurricane or what?"

"Ain't no tellin."

*30 minutes later at the church*

"And here's food, water, other necessities and clothes."

"Thank you Benjamin for your great service."

"I'm happy to help however I can."

Sarah had arrived and noticed the lycanthropes. Times did change a little as her and Abe were going through the 'fight phase' and she wasn't aware of Benji's upbringing. She also thought throughout the years he'd been more of a vamp then his wolf origins. Before she could learn about Benji's past circumstance happened and Benji left to grieve. No one had heard from him in years. He was living in the city and wasn't really doing much since his parents passed.
