I walk downstairs in the morning at Billie's house. I actually ended up sleeping pretty good even though I was nervous being here.
I see Billie in the kitchen and my eyes widen when I see she's just in a towel. She turns around and notices me. "Oh, hey, Rae. Sorry, I didn't know you were up yet." She laughs, looking down at her towel. I just stand there awkwardly and look down at the floor, not wanting to look at her.
"Right, let me go get changed." She says. I watch her go up the stairs and her towel starts to fall. I quickly turn around before I can see anything more and walk to the living room. I don't wanna seem like a perv, I'm just.. shocked? I'm literally straight, so I don't know why I'm nervous like this.
I sit down on the couch and just pet Shark since he's there while I wait for Billie to come back.
A few minutes later, Billie comes in the living room. "Hey." She smiles. "Hi." I say quietly. "How'd you sleep?" She asks, sitting down next to me. "Good." I nod. "Are you alright, Rae?" She laughs and puts her hand on my shoulder, making me jump. "Woah, sorry. What's up with you today?" She asks. "Oh, I'm just.. nervous." I shrug. "Why?" Billie shifts in her spot on the couch to face me which makes me feel even more nervous for some reason.
"Caught off guard, I guess." I laugh, twirling my hair around my finger nervously. That's a habit I have and I can't help it.
"From what?" She threads her eyebrows together. "Seriously?" I roll my eyes. "Yeah." She laughs. "Never mind." I give her a small smile. "I should get going." I sigh as I stand up. "Oh, okay." She frowns slightly. "Did you wear the clothes I gave you last night?" She asks, noticing I'm in the clothes I wore when I came over here. "Yeah, I changed when I woke up though. I left them upstairs, I'm sorry." I say.
"What are you sorry for, Rae?" She chuckles. "Leaving them upstairs. I didn't know if you'd get mad about that. My parents used to yell at me if I didn't put clothes away or whatever, so I always think everyone else is gonna do the same thing." I shrug. "I'm sorry, love. You don't deserve that." She sticks her bottom lip out.
"It's okay." I sigh. She gets up and hugs me quickly. "Text me later?" She says and I nod. "Alright, bye, Bil." I wave to her. "Bye, Rae." She says as she walks me to the front door. "Drive safe." She smiles. "I will." I say.
I walk out to my car and get in. She stands there at the door and watches me get in until I drive away for some reason. Lorenzo never does that when he walks me out?
Weird.
I start driving back to campus and Enzo calls me, so I put it on bluetooth so it plays in the car. I answer the call and say "Hi, baby."
"Hey, babe. How are you?" He asks. "I'm good." I say. "That's good. I was just double checking, are you coming to my game tomorrow?"
"Yeah, I am. I'm bringing Gigi, like always, is that okay?" I ask him. "Of course." He says. "I'll see you tomorrow, I love you." He tells me.
"I love you too." I say before hanging up. I always go to his games with Gigi to support him, I guess. For someone who's pretty antisocial, I kind of find football games fun.
I get back to the dorms and go upstairs to my dorm. I turn on the lights and take my shoes off before laying down on my bed.
Maybe it would be fun for Billie to come to the game. I mean, of course she'd have to wear sunglasses and a hood or some shit so she doesn't get bothered, but still. I pull out my phone and decide to text her.
