The moment she picked up the cub i was in shock ive never heard of a female caring for another females cub. she seems very taken with it though like it was her own already and it got me thinking this can get her into wanting cubs of her own and i can show her i can be a great father!
i ease her back to the house gather the things needed to bathe the cub but was startled when she growled and refused to hand me the cub saying shed bathe him and sent me to find food. i remember some new mothers are over protective of there cubs but this wasn't even a cub she birthed! i know she will be amazing when she has cubs.
when i got back with food the cub was clean dry and they were sitting by the fire she is watching the cub as i cook and cut up the food into small bit size pieces as the cub ate i made a basket for it to sleep in hopfully it will meet silvers standards for cubs. It was I didn't like that the basket was put right next to the bed but the fact she was to distracted by the cub to tense up when I started nuzzling her was enough for me to know this will be a good thing.
Now I just need to talk to Curtis about it where she can't hear so he knows why this will be a good thing. The cub could be taught how to survive in a couple months and be sent on his way but it will give silver the desire for cubs.
