There's no hope left

Tim was hopeless. They had been searching for Lucy for 2 months now and didn't find a single clue to where she or Sava had been taken. Even though he would never say that out loud, Tim really cared about Officer Chen and it drove him insane that he wasn't able to help her.

She had been taken again. He remembered all the memories from the Caleb incident, everything he felt. The immense fear he felt when he dugged her out of that barrel and she wasn't breathing. How her body was so lifless, still warm but other than that, it was obvious that she had died.

He remembered how her ribs broke under the pressure of the cpr he was doing to bring her back. He broke her bones. He literally broke her bones. And afterwards, he broke her heart. He could never forget the night they shared, all the passion, the intimacy. It had felt like he had finally found his perfectly fitting counterpart, the piece he was missing all his life. And he lost it, lost her. Becaue he was simply acting like an ass.

He should've talked to her. Told her how much she means to him, before it was to late. Godamn he was the Sargent of the LAPD! How the fuck had he not been able to protect a single woman?

„Tim?" Angela caught his attention. „Yeah?"

„We'll find her. We did last time and we will this time, okay? She gonna be okay", she tried to reassure him.

„Yeah", he just said and focused on the file before him. It was Sava's file. He was going through everything they had for what felt like the onehundreth time, but it was hopeless. He never found the slightest clue. Tim decided that it was enough for today and that he would had home.

He changed out of his uniform and went to the parking lot. It was already dark outside and for LA the weather was pretty bad. It was raining and the wind was cold and strong. Tim checked his car for any signs of damage, like he always does but there was none.

Life felt like a dream, no, more like a nightmare. History repeated itself. He couldn't protect the woman he loved then, neuther could he now. And it messed with his head. Before he could do anything the world started spinning. Gravity was lost for a second until the roof of his car collided with the hard street. Tim was unable to hear or see clearly, unable to move. Rough arms gripped his body and pulled his body over the broken glass. Sharp pieces of glass pierced his skin, pain creeping through mostly his back. Then the unknown kidnappers put a black bag over his head, keeping him from seeing anything.
What the fuck was happening? Were Lucy's kidnappers trying to kidnap him too?
His thoughts were racing. If he went with them, would they take him to her? Was it worth a try? But what use would he be for Lucy if he was in a prision, or whatever Lucy was, too? He had to decide now. Fight. Or play his part.

Lucy was trying to think clearly. She had to find a way out. There had to something she could do. Yet she couldn't think of anything. Time was running out. Lucy lost time of how long it had been since she was taken but it felt like a lifetime. Sava had awaken. And as soon as she saw Patrick, she scrumbled to the cage her son was in. But it wasn't some kind of cheesy movie like reunion. Patrick and Sava, Lucy too, were all near death. One of Lucy's wounds was infected. And Sava still tried to recover from blood loss. Patrick was to thin to and wreak to even cry anymore, he mostly just layed there, in his cave and slept.

Lucy needed answers. Needed hope. Yet there was none. There was one question though, that she needed to answer pretty soon. Who was going to live?
She already decided on Patrick. He was an innocent child. Her nephew to say at least. It would be wrong to choose anyone else.
She still couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that her mother was behind all of this. Lucy had thought that Rosalind Dyer was to blame. But it seemed like this time, the psychopath wasn't the bad guy in her story.
Why would her mother do this? What was her goal? What did she want? Was Tim trying to find her? Well at least she was sure off that.
Suddenly the door to her cell opened. Alexander and a woman in a white medical gown stepped in. "Grab her"
The woman seemed to be in her late 40ties and her was up in a clean bun. Her expression was icecold.
Alex grabbed Lucy's arm roughly and she struggled against his firm grip.
"Let her be!" Sava shouted, her voice hoarse.
Nobody cared. Alex followed the woman and dragged Lucy with him. They arrived at a small room, even colder than her cell, bright white light and medical instruments everywhere. In the middle of the room was an iron operating table. "What are you going to do?" She asked. Silence was the answer. Alex layed her down on the table and strapped her down. "What are you doing?!" She repeated.
"Shhhh. Silence, child. I am going to what your dear mummy asked me to do. Don't struggle against it. There's no escape."
"Are you going to steal my organs?"
The woman laughted. It was creepy and sounded insane. Shivers crept down Lucy's spine.
"Don't worry about it, child. You will notice soon enough. Sleep, child. Sleep.
