The rest of the dinner, the conversation was actually nice and fun. Dante could be nice if he really wanted it. And I had to admit, he had taste. I had never eaten such delicious pizza.

The waiter appeared at our table after he had cleared up our empty plates.

"Can I get you anything else?"

Dante's eyes found mine.

"Do you want a desert?" He asked me.

I looked at the menu. I wasn't one to reject a desert.

My eyes widened in surprise when underneath tiramisu, zabaglione and Co., I found Mini Milk. I had eaten these ice sticks regularly as a child and promptly ordered the strawberry one, ignoring that they were declared as 'kids desert' in the menu.

I threw Dante an awkward but undeniably excited grin.

Dante snorted out a laughter, but kept his mouth shut for once.

The popsicle was served.

I unwrapped it and started to suck it into my mouth. Damn, nostalgia unlocked, I thought, revelling in the sweet taste that reminded me of bygone summers.

I frowned when I saw Dante's lips curl in a lazy attempt to suppress a smirk.

I slowly let the ice-stick slide out of my mouth till the tip plopped from my lips.

"What?"

He cleared his throat.

"I'd lie if I say 'nothing'."

I pouted my lips critically.

"That's not an answer."

When I saw milky drops gather at the bottom of my ice-stick, I quickly stuck my tongue out to lick them, then dragged my tongue up to the tip.

Dante's wolfish smile widened and he bit the side of his lip. His rather sharp canine sank into the soft red flesh, making him look like a vampire. A horny vampire.

And then it dawned on me.

"Dante!" Heat shot into my head, "You're not thinking what I think you're thinking!" This perverted little... I held the ice-stick far away from my face, not daring to put it into my mouth again.

"I have a vivid imagination, forgive me," he declared without looking even slightly sorry.

Flustered and agitated, I jumped up and walked around the corner of the restaurant to lick my ice-cream in peace, with my back to him. I heard him chuckle.

Luckily, we were the only guests going to a restaurant in the afternoon.

I flinched when he suddenly appeared behind me and lay his broad hands on my shoulders. My heartrate increased.

"Don't deprive me of that sight, kitten," he murmured into my hair.

"Dante, really!" I hissed and tried to make a step forwards, but was pulled back against his chest.
