From what we've heard, we came to the conclusion that we were talking with 5 people, 3 of them patients, 1 a doctor and 1 just a spirit that visited the hospital because of their mother back in the day. I studied Ruby's body language while she tried her best to understand the words that were rushing in her ears. Her blonde, almost white long hair were falling gently on the sides of her face. Her lips were a thin straight line, her hands on her shaking legs. I was still looking at her when I stole a glance and saw Astoria's attention drawn to me. Her eyebrows furrowed, one of them slowly raised.
"What's wrong with you" she whispered since she was right next to Ruby.
"What do you mean" I felt the stress slowly increasing.
"You're acting weird since we decided to come here, and dont deny it" her eyes desperately trying to find a hint of what was going on inside my head.
"I just feel uneasy in here. The vibe is weird"
"Why this specific place? Neither me or Ruby's feeling anything. Why just you?". Astoria was known to win arguments with her valid points and intimidation but she wasn't going to this time.
"Maybe you should focus more? I dont know Astoria but I don't remember questioning you everytime you heard or seen something in the pure daylight" my tone sarcastic, making her tense up.
"Are you saying that I'm lying?" she had that crazy look in her eyes that could easily make me fold but this wasnt the right time. We've had many time were we'd find ourselves flirting with each other, but both of us had someone else in our mind and that stopped us.
"Are you saying I am?"
"I dont know are you Y/N?" but she was serious this time, wasn't flirting or some shit. I took a moment to answer.
"I'm not" I said and faked a small smile.
"Liar".
Both mine and Astoria's heads turned to Ruby, that was now shaking even more than before, her hand placed and caressing her shoulder. Shit how long has she been doing the method.
"Have you been keeping count of the time?" I turned to Astoria, but her eyes were already burning hot on my skin.
"Liar?" her tone was cold.
"I-"
"How about not lie this time?"
"Liar"
"I'm not I don't-"
"Liar, Liar, Liar" Ruby's body was violently shaking at this point, but Astoria's eyes wouldn't leave my sight.
"Y/l/n".
Hell no. I went still. I looked from her to Ruby before I rushed to her, taking off the headphones and blindfold and cupping her face. I tried to steady her head so she could look at me, when my breath got caught in my throat. Her eyes had rolled to the back of her head, her pupils not in sight. I gasped and took a step back removing my hands from her stiffened and quivering body as she collapsed to the floor. I watched in horror, suddenly feeling dizzy, in the back of my head hearing a voice call to me to run.
"Astoria pick her up" my voice raw and weak.
"Pick her up and run!" I forced out as we both ran out the building, Ruby's body on Astoria's shoulders. We ran to our car and without discussing shit, we drove to the nearest working, this time hospital. Me in the backseat the whole time, Ruby in my arms as tears from my eyes fell on her face, as Astoria speeded for dear life, almost crashing twice.
"Please Ruby wake up" my tears making me choke
"She's having a seizure she's not gonna wake up". No matter the situation, her smartass tone remained, making my blood boil. We reached the hospital and rushed in.

She indeed was having a seizure, the doctors trying to calm me down by telling me it wasn't serious. But they didn't know what we had just went through. She had the seizure in there. She was listening to someone that knew me. That knew Sam.

I must have fallen asleep, cause when I woke up the hospital was dead silent.
I felt a hand shaking me awake and my eyes widened as I quickly sat up straight. Colby's figure stood tall over me, as I rubbed my eyes, still trying to process the situation. I looked around, searching for Astoria's face when I caught someone else's instead. Big blue ocean eyes focused on me, making the hair on my body rise. I held the eye contact before my eyes went back to Colby's.
"Are you okay? Why are you here" his voice was worried and it almost made me smile.
"Ruby g- Wait where's Ruby" i shot to my feet, before my knees gave up below me. Colby's hands caught me right away as he carefully placed me back on the chair I was dead asleep on. Before he did though, there was a moment were we stared in each others eyes for a good ol' minute. My breath heavy just like his. I've almost forgotten Sam was there and when I looked at him, his eyes a bloodshot red. I gulped and I watched Colby as he crouched down infront of me, so his head was just a bit lower than mine. He was staring up at me and the image made me feel things. I couldn't focus on him, Sam's stare was so intense I could actually feel it physically.
"I'll get you some water, don't get up" the brunette said as he got up and disappeared from my sight. I searched in my pocket for my phone, when I saw 7 calls from Astoria. My heart dropped to my stomach. I looked up to Sam, ignoring the fact that he was still looking at me. I found the attempt to talk to him useless so I slowly stood up and made my way to the exit. I dialed Astoria's number and waited to hear her raspy voice. No answer. I called time after time and got no response which made the gut feeling in my stomach worse.
"Sam can you stop following me just to stare?" I yelled as I turned around but no Sam was there. Infact no one was. The feeling of being watched hadn't left, in fact it was stronger as time went on. I threw my head back and exhaled. I felt exhausted. I opened my eyes to look at the night sky, when my eye caught someone standing on one of the building's higher windows. The lights in that room were closed but the fabric on the person was clear in the moon light. It was a white gown. Before I knew it it was gone. I stayed still for a moment trying to debunk the possibility of actually going nuts. Maybe it was hallucinations of the lack of sleep?
