Birthday

After their class ends, they were standing in the hallway.

Eunji's phone rings, breaking the quiet moment.

"When are you coming? I am outside your university." the voice on the other end asks.

She quickly checks the time. " You didn't go home? I'm coming in a minute," she replies Hanging up. 

She looks at the group, ready to head out. "Guys, I'm going home."

Ji Woo, surprised by her quick departure, raises an eyebrow. "Why so early?"

The boys are walking over toward them.

Eunji waves them off with a smile. "Jake is waiting for me. So, I have to go."

Ji Woo nods. "Okay, bye."

But the moment Taehyung hears that, something inside him snaps. He throws his juice bottle across the table, frustration and confusion flickering in his eyes.

"I'm going," he mutters.

Soo Young:  "But the—"

Taehyung doesn't look back as he walks out.

Soo Young watches him leave, sighing. "What happen to him?"

Woo Sik: "It's obvious. He's jealous."

Ji Woo: "You guys didn't tell him?"

Woo Sik replies with a smirk, "It's nice seeing him being like this."

Soo Young:  "He's going be so angry."

So Hyun, joining in the conversation, nods. "We should hurry; It's your last year guys."

Soo Young: "Yeah, but So Hyun, do you even study? Your professor is Mr. Lee, right?"

So Hyun: "Yeah. He's a bloody professor. I don't know what's wrong with him..."

The week ends and it was now time for Jake to go back.

Taehyung still didn't know that they are like siblings because they all enjoyed it.

They all were outside train station, giving farewell to Jake. they got close with each other after hanging out for a week. 

Jakes gives final hug to Eunji, "Goodbye, don't forget to miss me."

Eunji: "okay"

His smile fades away because he still doesn't know what happened to Eunji. 

he says goodbye to everyone; In the end he goes to Taehyung.

Jake: "I didn't get much chance to hangout this time, But I will be back."

Taehyung gives a forced smile and side hug, but the side hug turns into full by Jake.

He says, "Take care of her." which leaves taehyung in disbelieve.

Jake: "Everyone can tell that you like her except her. She will need you." 

Taehyung just simply nods and Jake waves to everyone and goes into the train.

There were only four months left until their finals, and the pressure was building. Taehyung still hadn't confessed his feelings for Eunji. Every day felt like he was missing his chance.

Soo Young, as always, was excited and couldn't wait for her big day.

"Guys, do you remember what tomorrow is?" she asks, full of energy.

The group replies together, "Of course, it's your birthday. You've been saying that for a week."

Soo Young: "Well, you all have to come to the XXXX club. There won't be many people, just us. Since Eunji doesn't like crowds, it'll be perfect."

Eunji shakes her head, not interested. "But-"

Soo Young: "No buts. You are coming. It's my birthday. "

Eunji sighs, "fine."

Soo Young jumps up with excitement. "Okay, so be ready for tomorrow!"

Eunji nods but quickly turns to leave. "We will, but now it's time for our class, so let's go."

Soo Young and Woo Sik walks ahead, talking about the party, while Taehyung and Eunji walks silently behind them. Taehyung, just following Eunji, not saying anything.

The silence between them feels strange. Taehyung has so much he wants to say but doesn't know how to start. His feelings for Eunji are growing stronger every day, but he just can't find the courage to confess.

He feels like time was running out, but still, he said nothing. He just walks quietly, letting the silence stretch on.
