"Ahh, you must be Mrs. Y/N," the teacher greeted me. He pointed to a seat for me to sit at. I walked down the island of staring eyes and sat in my spot at the back of the class. "Yeah, it's been a while," the person next to me said, lifting their cap.

It turned out to be Faye! "Faye?! What are you doing in my class—are you not a senior?" I said, "Overwhelmed."Juniors and seniors have mixed 1st and 4th period dummie" she screeched whilst shaking my arm. I looked at the Starbucks drink that was sitting on her table. "You're jealous, so you missed out," she teased. "Danggg, it does look good," I laughed. "Well, that's good for you," she said, lifting the cup and putting it on my table, then pulling another from under the table. "You didn't," I grinned and shook my head. "First-day treat," she laughed. "Dang it, man. What would I do without you?" I smirked. "Idk, probably just die!" She teased. I rolled my eyes and turned back to face the board.

"Oh, BTW? Did I hear you talking to a freakman out there?" She raised her eyebrow as she slouched in her seat. "Who?" I tilted my head. "Freddy," she started. "Oh, yeah, why?" I asked. "Tut, tut, tut. Your first day, and you're already hanging with the weirdo," she joked. "He, he helped me.. with these two jerks," I defended Freddy. "Alright, but just letting you know, try not to be seen with him," she shrugged and then turned to face the board.

Why did everyone dislike Freddy so much? I was intrigued. I wanted to know. I didn't look back at Faye; I just continued the lesson. As normal. For the remaining two lessons before lunch, I was incredibly out of my comfort zone. One teacher even made me introduce myself to the class. God, I hate being the new kid.

I had finally finished my three lessons, and it was time for a lunch break. I followed the croud of kids that squished themselves into two open doors. That must be the cafeteria. I headed straight in and looked around the room. I didn't want to admit it, but I was looking for Freddy. He was the only person I knew. I didn't even know if he liked me; he just wanted to hang out with his friends.

As I manoeuvred myself closer to the crowd, I noticed the familiar brown curls poking out in the life in front of me. I smiled to myself as I approached the figure. I noticed the crutch and realised I had the right person. I tapped his shoulder, causing him to jump and spin around. His eyes lit up at the sight of me. "Oh, yes! Hi," he pratically jumped with joy. He pulled a tray off the side and handed it to me. "Comeon," he smiled. I followed him down to an empty table at the end of the cafeteria. The table looked so oddly familiar... until it hit me. "SHIT!" I shouted way louder than I should have. He jumped, almost dropping his crutch. "Whats up?!" He questioned. "This is the table! the one! The one that the guy sat on The superman!" I was overwhelmed with excitement. I'm not 100% sure why, but the whole thing was thrilling. I was sitting at a table that was on the TV, not to mention the fact that Superman and the electric bolt guy sat at it. "Pretty cool, right?" He smirked. I sat down at the table and plonked the tray in front of me. Freddy joined me by my side. I looked around. Most eyes were on me and Freddy. "Dang, is it always this scary?" I pulled a face. Freddy knew exactly what I meant. "You get used to it," he shrugged. "So, where are you, friends?" I asked. The silence took over as he stared into space. "Uhh," Freddy murdered. "I'm not really friend material, if you can tell," he laughed. "So you sit here alone?" I tilted my head. "No always.. I'm sometimes joined by my brother," he smiled. His gaze left me with something behind me. "Speak of the devil," Freddy said, raising his eyebrows. "Hey Freddy," the boy awkwardly menovered around me and sat next to Freddy. "Billy, this is y/n. Y/n, this is Billy," Freddy gestured towards us both. "Hi," I murmured, forming a slight smile. "Hey!" Billy smiled. The silence was creeping up. Thank God Billy stepped in. "So, how come you decided to make friends with my brother?" Billy laughed, hitting Freddy's arm. "Dude," Freddy rolled his eyes. I laughed. "Well, Brett and Bert were giving me grief, so Freddy stepped in, and overall, he's been really nice to me." I smiled, looking over at Freddy's cheesy grin. "Wow, Freddy," Billy teased. Freddy looked like he was about to reply, but he was quickly interrupted by a notification on his phone. He pulled it out of his pocket, and I watched his face drop. Billy leaned over, and Fred showed him whatever was on the phone. "Now? We are in school," Billy whispered, probably way louder than he thought. "Comeon man. We could actually help this time," Freddy replied. "What about the others?" Billy replied, keeping his quiet tone. "This can be a two-brother thing," Fred raised his eyebrows as he stood from the table. "Y/n, I'm so sorry, but we need to do this. I will speak to you later." Fred grabbed Billy's hand as he hobbled out of the exit. Damn. Here I was, sitting on my own. I looked over at the clock on the wall. I still had another half hour of lunch. I started eating the food that was on my tray, avoiding all the looks from other people. Why didn't Faye tell me she was a senior? Anyway, with only two lessons left of hell, I decided to spend the rest of my lunch finding where my classes were so I didn't get lost in the crouded hallways. The first was straight down the hall and up the stairs, easy enough. I followed the route and found my class.
