The next morning was sunny, It was the weekend so we didnt have work.
So I hung out with Darry all morning.
We watched tv together. He suggested since It was almost halloween time. We would watch a scary movie. Darry chose 'Dead Silence'.
"Darry I'm scared..." I said.
"Dont worry, its just a movie, I'll protect you." Darry said holding me in his arms.
"I know its just a movie, I just dont like puppets...they freak me out." I said.
"Oh Ella its not that bad..." Darry comforted me.
Ponyboy , and Johnny walk in at a scary part and the three of us jump.
I put my face in Darry's chest.
"what in the hell are you guys watching?" Johnny asked.
"D-d-dead silence."i said trembling from the jumpscare.
"Darry, Ella hates horror movies." Pony said.
"But its almost Halloween." Darry said.
"Still Dar shes trembling i think you should think of her." Johnny said.
" yeah bro you picked the scariest film ever and like she said she hates puppets dude." Pony said.
"You okay Ella?" Darry asked me.
"Im scared... This movie is scary." I said.
"Dont be scared, its just a movie." Darry said.
"Darry the woman is scary..." I said.
"Ella its almost over." Darry said.
We finished the movie had dinner then
I slept in with Darry. I had a nightmare and I had woken Darry up.
With all the tossing and turning I did.
"Ella, Ella sssh its alright..." Darry hugs me.
"Im sorry I made you watch the movie." He said.
"I saw her... In my dream I tried not to scream...." I said.
"Ella, Honey shes not real." He ran his hands through my hair.
"Darry... I think she doesnt like me cause i dont like puppets." I said.
"Ella your talking crazy." Darry said.
"Im sorry I just..." I stammered.
"Its okay babe." Darry said.
He rubbed my back and that put me back to sleep instantly.
