Akaza- 3rd person

Beep

Beep

Beep

Akaza's eyes cracked open to look up at the gray ceiling. The sound of simple beeping filled the quiet air. Everything was still, Everything was quiet... peaceful...

The room was a decent size as Akaza looked around, seeing his luggage in the corner. Soft afternoon sunlight lit up the bedroom, its warm glow made a pattern. It was weird, seeing the same light he was so scared of before innocently sitting on his striped skin. He sat up weakly, in his left arm had these random tubes that were pushing a clear liquid into him. Akaza didn't question it, having seen them in the hospital once or twice before he left.

The window was open on the left of him, looking out to see the city. He let out a sigh, everything was fine... it was going to be fine. Akaza stared out for a bit, feeling the breeze. He missed the freedom... he wanted to run, to jump, to fly. Akaza wanted to be free, yet, how could he? There is always something holding him back and he hated it. Akaza wanted to crush this feeling, this system, this place. He wanted Douma, we wanted to feel safe in his arms. He wanted to defend what was his and not fall to simple things as a loud noise. He felt so weak... trapped.

A small white bird squeezed its way through the now-widened slit of the open window. The tiny bird chirped, and it looked like one of those small weird chirpy birds that some of the younger demon slayers had. Akaza could remember crushing most of them with his hands or feet because of how annoying they were. Kinda reminds him of Douma if you squint.

Akaza smiled at the thought, despite how he felt about himself he was safe.  Douma was safe, and everything was gonna be alright...

The chirpy bird flew over to Akaza, it's pure white feathers, different from the browns he was used to, glowing in the afternoon sun. The bird landed onto Akazas limp hand. It chirped again, jumping a few times before it cuddled with Akazas hand.

It was quite a cute scene as the bird cuddled with him so willingly. Akaza seemed more awake with the touch, it's feathers were cold... ice cold even.

It chirped, flying up to Akaza's face and cuddling his cheek. It rubbed the water running down his cheek and it it finally clicked. The bird was Douma, well his magic at most, but still douma nonetheless.

He was crying.

Why was he crying?

"Douma?" Akaza whispered in a light voice, scratcy from not using it for so long.

He wiped his tears and let out a sigh. It all hit him so fast, but... it's fine. It's gonna be fine... fine. Akaza continued to pet the bird letting out a soft sigh. The small bird chirped and flew to Akazas hand once again, it slowly melting away.

"Wha- what? Douma what's wrong!" he tried to mold the snow back to its position, keeping the bird alive. Yet he couldn't stop it as water slowly dropped onto the blanket.

"No! No please! Douma..." Akaza mumbled as he watched. He needed Douma, even if it was a second more he needed his comfort. He was so used to his light touches and overwhelming magic. It was so calming and now that it was gone he felt overwhelmed and out of control.

The bird fully melted and a small piece of paper lay left in Akazas hands. The note was preserved in the bird and Akaza couldn't help bit let out a sigh. He wiped the water away and unwrapped the note.

Dear, my love

If you are reading this it means you have met snowflakes! The small bird was so cute I couldn't help but think of you. I hope you are doing well, I miss your blushing face. If you want we can schedule a time to go on a date? I'll send a location and time when I get my schedule.

Love you

Sincerely your love

Akaza couldn't help but smile at the note as he read it a couple times over. It was cute, a lot like douma despite the fancy curves of his handwriting.

Akaza looked over, hearing the soft footsteps from the outside of his door. The door opened and Synthesis walked through the door looking around.

"Oh- ur' awake?" He seemed surprised  closing the door behind him. Akaza nodded looking back down at the note.

"Good ta' see" he walked over to the beeping machine and checked his vitals, or whatever he was doing. Akaza rubbed the paper as he looked over the writing again.

"How ya' feeln? Better I hope?" Synthesis asked, deeming whatever he was looking at fine.

"Good... no pain" Akaza replied.

"Thats what pain killers do..." He smiled. "Don't matter to much, gave us a scare tho' heh" Synthesis shrugged with a smile.

"Sorry about that... by the way" He mumbled as he looked at his hands. Synthesis chuckled and pat him on the shoulder.

"Really, heh, don't worry bout' it!" They said as they pushed a button next to the door. Akaza watched glancing at him to the iv again. His feelings spiraling as he looked at the the moving clear liquid in his arm. There was a few quiet moments as they both awkwardly stood there.

"Hey, kid you alright..?" Synthesis spoke up, walking over.

"Huh? Oh yea just... tired" Akaza stared down letting out a sigh.

"Alright.." He said suspiciously, the door burst open and bubbles ran in, hugging Akaza.

"I'm so sorry! Are you ok? Are you gonna be alright!?" He held him as bubbles shook him.

"Yea..." He sighed, relaxing into the uncomfortable hold.

Bubbles sighed with a smile, letting go. "Thats good to hear... I'm so sorry about before I had no idea..." She apologized and Akaza softly smiled.

"Hey it's not your fault you had no idea..." He spoke and the room fell with a comfortable silence.

...

Welp, unedited, unplanned, and crappy but it's done. I guess I should start this back up if you even remember this?
