Part 2 of Sick, or the action scene.
............
Akaza- 3rd person :)
Akaza jumps out of the broken window and onto the sidewalk. The glass shattering around him gave him small cuts on his arms. Akaza sighed, why did his skin have no durability? Sometimes he wished that he could go back to the time when he was a demon. Not having to deal with crappy weak stuff like this. Healing quickly, Akaza ran up to some nearby fallen debris.
"Hello?" Akaza whispers looking behind the large block of fallen concrete. He could have sworn he heard someone's ragged breathing around here. Maybe his hearing was getting worse...
A small boy and girl, around 10, poke their heads out from the other side of the concrete.
"Hi...?" the little girl utters tilting her head to the left. The girl was bleeding from the side of her head but relatively fine and the boy had no injuries from what he could see. Both of their chubby cheeks were covered in a small layer of dirt and there were streaks of dried tears on the boy's face. Akaza's hard gaze softened at the sight, he always had a soft spot for kids.
"I'm going to get you somewhere safe, please stay calm," Akaza says, giving them a small smile.
"But you can't carry three people, only heroes can!" The boy yells through the loud noise of battle. Akaza winced, his ears could only take so much noise. A fireball went in the direction of Akaza, almost hitting him in the back before he jumped over the concrete to dodge. On this side, he could see the two kids fully and a woman in her 30s passed out on the ground. There were cuts all over her body and some smaller pieces of rubble were crushing her.
"Don't hurt Mommy!" The boy yells again getting in a fighting position- if you wanna call it that. It was more of a cartoon hero action pose than anything. Was this kid insane? why would I hurt them?
Shrugging Akaza lifted one of the larger pieces of rubble off the woman and tossed it to the left. He crouched down to assess any major injuries on the woman, which there wasn't a lot. The kids stared in shock as they watched Akaza brush off the rest of the heavy rubble and save their mother.
"She needs medical attention, let's go kids," Akaza said picking up the passed out woman with one arm and gently gesturing to the injured girl. She squeaked, before accepting and allowing Akaza to pick her up with his other arm. Akaza could feel the girl shaking as she clung to his jacket like a koala. Poor girl did not deserve this.
"We don't have time for your dumb decisions, get on my back," Akaza says crouching down to the kid's height. The kid growled in anger, jumping on Akaza's back and digging his long nails into his neck. Akaza jolted up at the feeling, it hurt, but not that bad.
Was this kid for real? Why can't people be more grateful?
Charging up some power he bolted back to the shop.
...
Akaza jumped through the already broken window and into the shop, sliding on the dirty tiled floor. Shelves were pushed to the side and most of the area was decently clean. Any type of debris has been pushed to the corner. Akaza smirked, the teen that he told to help definitely knew what she was doing.
Once he came to a complete stop Akaza dropped to his knees, placing the mother gently on the floor. The boy immediately let go of Akaza's neck and ran over to his mom. Grabbing her head and started crying more. Akaza could only roll his eyes, men don't cry, they protect the people they love till the last breath. It's not like crying will save anyone.
"LEAVE MY MOM AND SISTER ALONE YOU MONSTER" he yelled at Akaza. The little girl with the injuries jumped out of Akaza's gentle hold and ran over to her brother.
"HE SAVED UP, HE WAS TRYING TO HELP!" She screams in a high-pitched voice which hurt Akaza's ears. He rubbed them in pain. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the teen he gave the medkit to. She looked up and watched the scene play out before she ran over to them. Another medkit in hand she sits down next to Akaza on the floor.
"Please, calm down and I can help you with your wounds." She says, giving the angry kids a lopsided smile. With shaky hands, she ripped open another medkit, one different from the one Akaza gave her, and started helping the mom.
Kids these days.
Akaza left again to go help more people injured on the street. There were a few more families that trusted him a bit more than the first one. The rubble was a breeze to clear and most of the people weren't that injured.
While running around he could sense the flame hero watching him. It sent chills down his spine and he could feel himself becoming on edge. It almost reminded him of Kokoshibo when he was angry. Which was a rare sight to see and unlike the flame hasira, Akaza was not fond of the flame hero at all. He actually preferred that the flame hero left to go get more heroes or something like that.
Once the street was cleared he helped people inside the falling apart building. Most of the people there were adults above the age of 35. They would barely cooperate and some even preferred to stay in the building than to be saved by "some teenager with a mutant quirk." Akaza just brushed off most of the racist retorts to mutant people, which he assumed to be non-human-looking people.
In the end, the store had about 30 people in it, all injured or traumatized. Akaza stood in front of the window, looking for more injured people that he could spot or hear. The battle in front of him was slowly coming to an end and the smoke villain was about to pass out from very painful burn injuries he had gained. Akaza sighed, the villain would have made a good lower rank if he was a demon. Oh well.
"Excuse me... sir" The teen who was running the store before, had walked up to Akaza. Akaza turned away from the battle to the girl.
"Hmm?"
The girl twirled one of her Earjacks that were connected to her ear. "I wanted to thank you, on behalf of the ones you saved." She said
"Oh... I don't need a thank you, I was doing this for... the people" Akaza hums, he was actually doing it for the thrill of running around and using his abilities. Which for some reason is illegal here. Bullshit. I know.
"Well thank you anyway... my name is Jirou, Kyouka Jirou to be exact, nice to meet you." She says more confidently, putting a hand out to shake. Akaza grins, he could sense a more powerful Willpower from her. He shakes her hand and they both grin at one other.
...
"Well that was something, how's the people? is there anyone critically injured?" Akaza asks taking his hand away from Jirou's. Jirou blinks, looking around the room.
"The only thing I couldn't treat was broken bones but other than that everything's okay." She answers looking back at the now quiet street. The flame hero and sidekick were putting the villain into a police car.
There were a few police cars here, and a firetruck putting out a fire the flame hero created. There were also a few other heroes that had showed up with 3 ambulance trucks looking for people. Most of them were coming out empty-handed and were getting quite worried. Someone would have to bring them over here, and I don't think they would take Jirou seriously.
Akaza sighs. "I hate talking to authorities..." Jirou blinks staring in confusion.
"Why?" She asks looking at Akaza who had not turned away from the commotion that was around 30 yards away from them.
"Because they think they are above me when I could turn them into a pile of mush without any hesitation" Akaza grumbled.
"O-oh" was all she said before Akaza stepped outside and onto the street once again.
With messy pink hair and deadly pale skin with weird stripes, he stood out quite nicely against the destruction.
......
I got a little lazy and I'll post the rest later.
