*Keir*
Oh my God!
I slid back almost instantly, freeing my body from his passionate grip. He ducked his head, but it was too late, I'd already witnessed the flaw.
"Wait" He cleared his throat and stood.
I was shocked. He'd grown blemishes around his chest, and it looked horrible. Tears rushed to my lenses and all I could do is think of Jacob. "When did this start!?"
He shrugged and let out a soft sigh. "Don't do this." He warned. It was too late. My heart had given into the nightmares that followed Jacob's death. He started out with some stupid rash, and it didn't give up, it spread like wildfire and that's when he began to get sick. It was then I jumped to my feet to attend his side. I ran my fingers gently over the rash and tried to keep my emotions at bay.
"Just stop it!" He slapped my hand away and left me alone. I thought for a minute we were going to finish what we were doing but it didn't go that way.
I sat on the end of the bed and looked around. This narrative he'd spun about some shift shaper was the reason my brother was dead and now he had the same thing going on!? I let it spin in my head and on the fourth round, I got up.
The grocery was sitting in the bags on the counter, and I instantly started tossing the stuff in the fridge along other places for the non-perishables.
"Damn, what did the lettuce do to you?" His voice startled me. I felt his manhood pressed against my ass.
"Adam" I turned to face him. He instantly began kissing me, tracing my jawline with his hungry kiss. "Umm Adam,"
"Wait baby, just...just, wait." He lifted me with my legs instantly going around him. His lips met mine once more. "Just----wait. A few years ago, I knew you had an issue with conceiving, so I decided to get myself checked out. The drugs they gave me was sort of an experiment drug and once your brother knew it worked for me, he wanted to try it for himself, to get Anias pregnant but now not only could she not procreate a humans child."
"So you all just decided that taking a random drug was the answer to all your issues? What about including me in it Adam! I would've told you I was fine with not having a child." I sat back and crossed my arms to place room between us.
Adam shrugged.
"Life doesn't work like that Kirs, the man figures it out and bring home the solution. Besides, look at you! You would've been happy; Jacob would still be alive---"
"No! He wouldn't! He was keeping Anias away because he knew he'd get fired and the experiments would stop because they would stop it. Funding would stop and the labs---lost. This is Jacob's decision and there's nothing you can do or say to change the outcome. He wanted this beast and he'd go to the ends of the earth to protect her."
The more he talked about this Anias, the angrier I got.
"Is this all?" I sat there for a moment in silence. His eyes burning a hole into my soul.
"I don't know what's going to happen, but I had to make sure you were safe." He replied.
I nodded and sat back. I wasn't even afraid anymore. The bunker was nice, and I was eternally grateful he brought me there so that we could survive. The nights became longer while the day only lasted after a few hours where we could hear scratching, knocking and other days, someone would shoot at the door.
Truth is, there was a world outside from us and we weren't about to jeopardize our heath for a random person that would take forever to help. It was the third month from the day we shut the door. I instantly stood and waited for Adam's instruction.
"Don't" he shook his head and whispered.
All this time and he say no as if knew who it was. With everything in me, I took off and ran to the door.
"Kiersten!" I heard Adam call, but I wanted to see.
Turning the knob and pressing the button, before I could push the door, I felt a pull from my waist. "Are you crazy!?"
It had gotten too crazy in there. Stir-Crazy to be exact. I hated being inside and this was the product of staying in too long. I felt panic and began to trawl my body away from the hold but he lifted me once more and dropped me down on my butt.
"ouch!" I cried, instantly rubbing it out. The truck was still in the same spot it was when we gotten here and so was the dust settling in the same breathing space we were forced to share. There was probably our DNA roaming around the entire compound with us in it.
"I want to get out!" I threated.
He shook his head in disbelief. "You're going insane, there is nothing out there."
I swear I heard the knock.
"Yes, someone is knocking, I heard it." I tried to convince him.
He shook his head and helped me up. "Baby...come." He ushered us into the living quarters. I sat on the long stretch couch and watched as he turned the TV on.
"Look" He waved his hand in the way of the TV.
A few lone channels and reruns. Our little state was being overran by creatures that could shift in the day or at night. The entire state was deemed destroyed.
"What is this?" I shook my head in disbelief.
"Now...do you really want to go outside?" He asked.
I shook my head no.
What are we going to do now?
