Chapter 5

Pete has all the capacity in the world to piss off Vegas. While he was dizzy he was all pretty and almost romantic to him , even pecked his cheeks on the plane but now that he is fully concious with no signs of haziness he is back to his old attitude.

"What is all this about Pete. How come you already have a house rented out here in Aomori. As if this was already planned"

"Because it was. All you got to know is , your plan of running away from your father city to city was bullshit. I have a better plan that offers you a lifetime escape from his hold."

"And why exactly are you doing this"

Pete opens the door and gets inside the hous dodging the question because he didn't want to lie to Vegas, and the truth is now useless. Even if Pete tells him that he is doing all this because he loves him, he will still break Vegas's heart in the end. It's better to be cold.

"Pete I am asking you something" Vegas touches Pete's back and gets pushed back in a reflex. He first was angry but then shocked in few seconds when he saw Pete. He was shaking, eyes staring unblinked to the floor, hugging himself. Tears that were ready to drop. That's when Vegas realised that he must have touched his wounds.

"Pete I am sorry , i forgot you are injured. I am really sorry. "

"It's ok. I am fine. I am ok now. Sorry for pushing you like that" Pete comes to his senses again.

Pete sighs heavily and then continues

"Vegas, i only expect one thing from you, don't ask me any questions. All i promise is that after this you will be completely out of your father's hold. I know it's not easy , but if you can please trust me."

"I trust you" Vegas doesn't know why he said that but it's what he felt at that moment. He knows nothing about Pete, his life, why is his behaviour and his actions so mismatched and so unpredictable. Yet he feels that in this world anyone can do wrong to him but Pete. Yes Pete had broken his heart, but he is sure Pete has got some reason for doing that. The way Pete was so injured yet he came to him, and how he had everything planned for Vegas shows that he cares for him. Whatever Pete's reason is for his duality, Vegas will figure it out later but for now, he wants to be close to his love. It's been so long that he has been with Pete under one roof without any bitter feelings. All this time he always carried a hurt in his heart and threw it in the form insults at Pete. So much time he has lost in fighting now he only wants to care for Pete. And he will put up with Pete's behaviour for that matter. He knows Pete can't remain stubborn with him for long.

"Let me see the injury atleast" Vegas approaches and Biu again just ignores him and moves away.

"We only got the house and few necessities. Many things will have to be bought since we are going to stay for a long time" saying that while standing by a window, Pete has sad smile on his face while standing behind him Vegas has a happy wide smile on his face thinking that him and Pete are now going to live here , together away from everyone. If not forever then atleast for a long time.

Pete flinches and moves away as Vegas goes to stand next to him. He doesn't want to get close to Vegas but the rock like burden he is feeling right now is making him bend. He knows he can't resist Vegas for long. He wants to cling over him, get carried by him, touched by him, kissed by him but he can't do that. He has to be resilient in his decision. Vegas has to move on in life and it will be more easy for him if he could detach from Pete. Pete has to be resolute about this but he knows the minute he looks Vegas in the eyes he will just break every wall if he has build any for now. He almost wanted to turn and hug him when he said he trusts Pete. So as childish as it may look but ignoring him is the best Pete can think of right now.
