Chapter 9

Next morning

11am

Ni-ki woke up, Jungwon's hands around his waist and he immediately smiled. He reached for his phone, not detaching himself from Jungwon. He opened snap and found messages from his friends, asking him to come to a party tonight. He knew how the last one ended up, he just pretended he forgot so Jungwon didn't have to mention it. This time he would only go if Jungwon went, to make both of them more comfortable.

Half an hour passed and Jungwon woke up, letting go of Ni-ki which made Ni-ki pout. Jungwon left the room to go make breakfast and Ni-ki trailed behind him. Ni-ki sat at the counter watching Jungwon make food, he had to ask about the party. A while went by while Ni-ki sat on his phone and Jungwon cooked and eventually a plate of bacon and eggs was placed in front of the younger and Jungwon sat beside him. "So Jungwon, I was texting my friends this morning and-" Jungwon cut him off. "No. No parties."

"Please Jungwon, I'm only going if you come with me, and I'll stay with you the whole time." Ni-ki begged, to which Jungwon sat and stared for a while. Ni-ki stuck his bottom lip out and held his hands together. "Fine. When and where?"

11pm

The duo stood at the front door of a house blasting music, filled to the brim with teenagers and flashing lights. Jungwon sighed, surprised that he agreed to this. Ni-ki held Jungwon's hand and tightened his grip. He looked over at Jungwon and smiled. "It'll be fun!" Then he twisted the doorknob and revealed the exciting and overwhelming enjoyment of drunk teenagers and extremely loud music. Ni-ki ran inside, still holding Jungwon's friends and looked for his friends. Eventually he caught sight of them and dragged Jungwon over to them.

"NI-KI AND JUNGWONN!!! GUESS WHAT WE BROUGHT!" One of his friends yelled, building up suspension for the excitement. "IS IT WHAT I THINK IT IS??" Ni-ki said, once again tightening his grip on Jungwon's hand with excitement. "CONESSS!!" His friend pulled out several cones and handed one to Ni-ki and Jungwon.

(if you have no idea what a cone is it is weed wrapped in paper or thin cardboard into the shape of a cone)

Ni-ki laughed and looked at Jungwon who suddenly didn't look to miserable. Ni-ki had agreed before the party that he wouldn't get too high and too be honest Ni-ki didn't want to because of last time. But for some reason, Jungwon seemed... different tonight. More excited or... reckless.

12:36am

Ni-ki had smoked about three cones, on the other hand Jungwon had smoked about 17. Ni-ki was laughing with his friend and then looked over at Jungwon and saw him rolling another joint, his eyes were red, and he couldn't focus and Ni-ki decided he needed to get them out of here. He grabbed Jungwon's arm and stumbled his way through the crowd but suddenly Jungwon got pulled back by one of Ni-ki's friend. "NI-KI! STOP BEING A PARTY RUINERRR, LET JUNGWON STAY!" Jungwon laughed as Ni-ki's friend pulled him back down. Ni-ki looked at his friend, disgusted. Then his friend pulled out a bag of white powder and was about to hand it to Jungwon until Ni-ki had enough. "FUCK OFF! YOU AREN'T GOING TO DO THIS TO HIM LIKE YOU DID TO ME!" He grabbed Jungwon and held his waist beside him and led them out of there.

Jungwon stumbled along the path to their car, laughing and tripping over rocks on the way. Ni-ki was concerned and felt bad that he had led Jungwon to this stupid party. He looked at the older's eyes, there was more red than white, and he couldn't keep his eyes open properly.

"I'm so sorry Jungwon I'll get you home." Ni-ki said aloud as he put Jungwon's seatbelt on. Ni-ki again began to drive without a license. He constantly looked over at Jungwon, spaced out and giggling with the wind blowing against his hair, forgetting every worry he ever had. The world feeling like nothing was wrong and everything was fun. Every problem disappeared. Ni-ki knew that feeling well, like it was his best friend. He knew Jungwon was older, but he also knew that Jungwon wasn't addicted like he was, and he didn't want that for him.

He loves Jungwon.
