Chapter 7

I stepped in her shower and closed the curtain, I could hear Dom walking around the house meaning he hadn't entered the room yet just opened the door.

" Hey Laila. Has Rhea been here? Her vest is on the couch.. Everyone has been looking for her since she ran off."

His voices walked around the apartment, never making it to the bedroom door. I heard the front door open again and then close and then I stepped out of the shower.

Shit I had to get out of here but how.. I looked around the bathroom and saw there was a window, could I possibly get out of there. I stepped out of the shower quickly and climbed on top of the toilet. I reached for the window, kicked it open and climbed out onto the roof of the building.

I dusted myself off and turned around to face.. Dom.

Shit

" wanna tell me why you're sneaking out of my girlfriend's house?"
" No not really"

He rolled his eyes, " seriously Rhea, what were you doing in there.. Youre acting strange"

" Im not acting strange Dom, you're acting strange. You know how Laila is she invites us over and then we all hang out." " yes but you usually don't come unless you know i was already there so what were you doing there?"

" The house was empty, I made an assumption, okay? I've been in the bathroom the entire time because I was covered in blood as you can clearly see."

He looks at me and yes I'm covered in blood, Laila's blood. He swipes his thumb across my cheek and then looks at me.. In a swift motion Dom is holding me by my neck over the railing of this roof. I'm not scared of the fact that i could seriously injure myself or worse he would kill me by squeezing my neck harshly and snapping it

More or so of the fact that his eyes are glowing purple and he looks hurt and angry. He looked at me and snarled, " why are you covered in Laila's blood." I looked at him and smiled, " Cause I killed her."

He jerked me forward and grabbed onto his arm and looked at him, " if i go down, you're going down with me." I pushed him back and caught my balance, I picked my vest up off the ground and put it on, " she was a whore, she didn't deserve you. She wanted both of us"

" For once in your life can you let me have something, From Eden to Her you've taken them all."

" Eden was never yours and didn't speak about her." I dusted my hands off and looked at him, " plus she tasted good."

Dom looked at me, " she had my blood in her system."

I stopped in my tracks, it had been so long since I heard someone say that. Since those utterly words were mumbled.

" she would still be dead because i drained her.. Right?"

" Did you drain her?"

I flew down the roof back into the window of their bathroom with Dom following behind me. Laila was standing up in looking at herself in her mirror, she looked at me and Dom and smiled, " hiya"

Dom ran over to her embracing her in a tight hug and she hugged him back tightly, i heard him mumbling to her and pulled him away, " you can't be alive."

" and why not?"

" because I want you dead."

Dom brushed me off, " what she means is, you aren't fit to be vampire material."

" but you can teach me domdom, i promise i'll be the best vampire ever."

" No. This ends where it should have ended when I killed you."

I raced over to her and broke the wooden part of her bed. Dom tried to grab my arm but I flung him back into her mirror, sending him and glass crashing down. I looked her in her eyes and smiled, I bit into her neck, " that was for me and this.. This is for Eden"

I took the sharp piece of wood and jammed it into her heart watching as her face froze and she became lifeless again. I stood over her just looking at her, I smiled happily at that.

Dom looked at me from the ground with tears in his eyes, " WHAT DID YOU DO RHEA. WHAT DID YOU DO."

He scrambled to his feet and ran over to her, " no no no.. leila wake up.. Laila wake up please.. Come on Laila.. LAILA."

" why.." He said in between sobs and I stood there looking at him emotionless, I didn't feel a thing. I didn't care that I had just hurt Dom, I didn't care that I had just taken away the girl who filled a void for him. I didn't care about anything, nothing mattered.

Not because my humanity was off.

Not because I'm mean.

Not because I'm in love with a girl I could never have.

Because I'm Rhea Bloody Ripley and there's no one who can stop me...

3 am that morning

I walked into the house and it was dead silent, no peep, no spark of life. I walk into Ellie's room and crawl into bed, she's here.

I lay my head on her and she sighs, " what did you do Rhea?"

" I killed a few people.. Maybe 12.. Maybe 20"

" Do you feel better about killing them?"

" no, i get a thrill out of it.."

" And why do you like hurting people?"

I look at her and my eyes are purple, her eyes are red. Since we weren't the ones who made Ellie into a vampire she didn't get the same glowing purple eyes, she got the red eyes sort of like Klaus and Elijah.

Her sister Eleven stayed with Klaus and Elijah after Ellie left them, Ellie was never meant to be with them. She deserved to be with us, they killed people and they showed no remorse for what they were doing.

We judged them terribly for it but in the end it gave me Ellie being able to find her and find comfort in her was my favorite thing to do. Sometimes I forget one day she will go and find someone and fall in love with them.

She will experience love and trust me she will enjoy it but then again i hope she always knows that what we have is love. These moments we have with each other are filled with love and safety and everything is always love with us.

Humanity or No Humanity i will always protect my elliecakes. Because she's mine.

" I don't like hurting people, Ells, I would never want you to be around the one thing we got you away from."

" Then you will understand why I don't want you sleeping in my bed Rhea."

" just for tonight." " No until you turn your humanity back on and let yourself feel the way you feel about Eden walking away from you."

" I know how that feels and I know that I'm in love with a woman I can never have. The point is, I'm in love with her, and it's driving me crazy. I'm not in control right now Ellie but how can i be in control when I have no reason to be in control. I have to stay together to protect you and you want me to be the better person and get through this with feelings but I don't want to hurt ellie. So that means I can't be who I am and if I can't be who I am then I can't be around you."

" I just want you-"

" No Ellie, you've said enough."

I got up out of her bed and walked towards the door, I looked back at her one last time and then raced outside of the house. Once I got outside I stopped in my tracks, " Eden? Niklaus?"
