Unexpected delusions

It happened again... Another misfortune he foretells before happening, he had seen his friend leaving and now he is... Perhaps it was a coincidence or an incomprehensible vision, and perhaps it was just delusions... He often felt that He saw something that happened or is happening as if he had seen it before... Some may call it a vision, but the experienced and knowledgeable oracles call it a delusion... They say that the human mind often misleads them, such as depicting to him that he has seen the departure of a friend after he leaves and because he will miss him, so he imagines that he saw his departure before... Although Cornu believes the oracles and trust their wisdom, but it seemed strange to him... once he saw that Jack tar was lying under a heap of rubble... It was a glimpse of time as if it were a heartbeat... But he knew that it was Jack tar who was lying wounded under the rubble, and to reassure his heart Cornu went to his friend's house to check on him only to be surprised that the wooden hut became a pile of rubble and the fire started to consume it.

The moment Cornu saw Jack tar, he was sitting on a rock far away, he was in pain as usual hitting his thigh, but his friend told him something that made a shiver run through his body. "Oh, my days, Cornu... I was standing quietly, cooking some mushrooms. Suddenly it rained, so I went to take cover in my hut, and I heard the biggest thunderbolt in my life... Suddenly I found myself lying on my back under the rubble... Thank Zemfira I woke up before the fire broke out. am I really lucky as people says or the unluckiest?"

Cornu laughed, "No, you're just a dimwit...maybe we should call you, dimwit Jack tar."

In the shadowed alleys of Cornu's memory, the fragments of the previous day lay dormant until the dim light of dawn stirred their recollection. It was only when the first rays of the morning sun kissed the cobblestone streets that the events of the past night unfolded in Cornu's mind like a mysterious tapestry, when he saw his other friend Garoush being slurred by Martha after he had spoiled Logal Kilza's dough by leaving it outside the bakery without covering it for hours. He saw this too. Perhaps he should have warned him to cover the dough...Martha's punishment seems crueler than putting him to the sword at times...But perhaps it is a coincidence, or, as the oracles say, mere delusions.

The important thing is that Garoush is gone... This made him happy even if he hid it... It may seem strange but sometimes Cornu finds himself happy that something bad happens, like the time his father died after suffering from the pain of illness for years... His father was comforted by death, sometimes death is a blessing... as in sometimes parting is a gift... At least his dear friend will undoubtedly become a great man someday... although Oracles hates the Gothras. But they admit that one Gothar is more knowledgeable than ten Oracles, and what makes that hatred deepen to this extent is just the matter of magic... The oracles have been fighting all their lives to fight sorcery and witchcraft and praise the word of knowledge, wisdom and peace among mankind... But it does not matter at least his friend will inevitably become someone distinguish... He will no longer suffer from hunger, and he will not die like the rest of them from the cursed, incomprehensible diseases that afflict them in the dough alley.

Cornu and Jack tar were sitting on the lake under the mulberry trees, far from the little harbor, watching the galleys traveling away bit by bit until it was lost in the horizon... Cornu said out loud "farewell travelers."

Jack tar finally broke his silence with a sigh, "I don't like it... he already left ten days ago but I still don't like it... something tells me we shouldn't have let him go to that damn island."

"Shut up, Jack tar... Let's just think now what we're going to eat... Let Garoush escape from this damned place, maybe he'll survive that life." Said Cornu
