2. Fenghuang Down

"Can't believe we actually managed to get him." Li said as she looked at Cain who was sprawled on a mattress.

After they had come to an agreement in the meeting they decided to capture Cain and so they used a powerful tranquilizer dart on him to knock him unconscious while he was talking with Himeko. They did feel a bit bad about it but they needed to know the reason behind his behaviour and they didn't see another choice since he wasn't talking to them.

His injuries had also healed quite quickly. Which they soon realised was due to the Natural Stigmata of Death that he had awakened. They were of course surprised but they reasoned it to be the reason he was alive.

"So we are doing this?" Kiana asked a bit nervously.

"It looks like it." Wendy said nervously.

Inside the room where Kiana, Mei, Bronya, Bianka, Rita, Li, Susannah, Seele, Himeko, Theresa, Elysia, Eden, Fu Hua, Senti, Wendy, Ana, Aponia and Pardofelis. The latter two had joined after the group shared their plan with them and they also decided to get in with it.

"Is everyone ready?" Fu Hua called out as she is getting ready.

The others gave sounds of agreement as they looked at him nervously, as it is an intrusion to his privacy and all.

"Alright, let's get starte—hey!" Fu Hua started to say before shouting at Senti who took the Divine Key.

"Don't worry old timer, I know how to use it." Senti said as she has the key in her hands.

"That's not the problem here!" Fu Hua said to her with a glare.

"It's fine. So, basically, I am going to be connecting our consciousness with his and then we will be able to see his memories." Senti said with a smirk.

"I thought it could only create illusions." Susannah said to her.

"Yes but for that it does need to connect with a conscience, and with Aponia here we can be certain that nothing will go wrong." Senti said as she gestured to the nun.

"I'll do my best." Aponia said in her soft tone.

"Well, let's just get this over with." Bianka said seriously as she wanted to finish it fast.

"Alright then. I'm going to start." Senti said with a grin as she ignored the look Fu Hua is giving her.

She then activated the Divine Key and used it's power to connect they consciousness of the people present as they soon found themselves in the hallways of the facility on the moon.

"This is..." Mei said as she looked around herself.

"This must be the way that Cain had went to the centre." Himeko said remembering the details.

But then they heard the sound of footsteps, of someone running. They looked and saw Cain running in their direction with fervor as he is panting a bit.

"It's him." Rita said with wide eyes.

"It's him running to the centre." Li said as she looked at him with the others.

"I have to get there fast. Project Stigma can't be fulfilled." Cain said to himself as he ran.

Cain ran as the group watched him, then they also started to follow him but they didn't need to walk as they were following him as if they were skating on the floor.

But then their attention was taken by 4 of Grey Serpant's clone appearing in front of him. This caused great alarm for all of them as Cain skidded to a stop.

"Grey Serpant's clones." Mei said shocked.

"It explains his injuries." Bronya said though the worry could be seen in her eyes.
