When will you realize? I whisper to myself,
as the remaining ounce of hope has finally
deteriorated into nothingness.
All talks we've had are now hidden between
thick books on an unbreakable bookshelf,
wrapped in thorned stem with red hues,
which gets tighter and brighter as we continue.
I ask again, when will you realize?
When will you see?
Our lives have taken a turn,
a direction we do not recognize.
This is not where I want us to be.
We should be cherishing one another,
instead of fighting due to unhealed pain and overflowing anger.
So when will you ever realize?
that I want nothing bur peace and happiness with you.
Yet it seems as though we're drowning in lies,
doubt, and discontentment in which we believe is untrue.
Now, I cannot handle such agony any longer.
The love I'm supposed to receive is kept in a jar
that has nothing to offer.
Even then, I hope you will realize that
I will be on my knees, pleading
just to make you believe
that I will not leave.
