It was a january friday. The air was crisp and dry. Just pure cold.

Drowned in her sadness, Cheryl was sitting at a table in a corner of 'The white wyrm'. The bar was calm. Relaxing jazz music playing in the background as the people enjoyed their drinks.

Cheryl took a sip of the delicate red wine. Her eyes explored the place. It was a lot more different now. How couldn't it be? It wasn't a club for teenagers anymore.

Cheryl liked it better this way. It was a lot more calming.

As her eyes were wandering around the bar, they came across a familiar painting. It was the painting of Toni she had made.

The beautiful canvas was hanging gracefully in an exposed corner.

The redhead came here to get her mind off her ex but of course, luck wasn't on her side even here.

She took a big sip of the wine as she remembered that day. The day she painted Toni, around two months ago.

She remembered how her soul lit up with joy when she saw her enter the gothic mansion. She remembered how Toni tried, tried to make it work, tried to get back with her. But Cheryl denied her.

The redhead never stop loving and craving Toni but she knew she had a lot to pay for. She had to pay for all the demage her family had done over the decades and she couldn't have Toni, not when she was 'cursed' to a lonely life.

Toni had a late shift tonight. She entered the Wyrm and got ready to bartender.

She greeted Fangs, who was now leaving. Her passed her the keys.

"Heading out!" He said as he put on his serpents jacked.

Toni put her thumbs up as got inside the bar. She greeted Sweet Pea, who was also working second shift.

She did her usual routine before settling. Tonight was a calm night an not many costumers sat close to the bar.

As she was checking around the tables she noticed Cheryl sitting on a corner. She double checked, making sure her eyes weren't playing games.

"Its her, Topaz." Sweet Pea said.

"This is rare.." Toni kept looking at the redhead who seemed to be lost in her thoughts. She was slowly spinning her glass of wine as she was looking at...Tonis painting?

Toni raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"You should go talk to her. You haven't seen her in weeks right?" Pea said.

"Two months.." Toni corrected. "I probably should.."

She exhaled before heading towards the redhead.

"Want a refill?" Toni said when she got close enough to Cheryl.

"Toni!" The redhead jumped. She seemed to be turned back to reality. "H-hi!What are you doing here?"

"Oh I've been working as a bartender here for a few weeks now..I saw you and I thought Id come and say hi.."

"Thats..great to hear! This is a great place to be working at.." Cheryl said before an awkward silence covered the air between the two. "I was actually about to leave-"

Cheryl started putting on her coat and getting the cash for the wine out of her bag. The anxiety she was feeling portrayed in her fast movements.

She placed the money on the table before starting to leave.

"Do you need a lift?" Out of all the things Toni wanted to say, this was the one that got out of her.

"Oh Im fine! I walked here so I'll walk back." The redhead politely smiled.
