Hitoshi goes by They/Them and is Nonbinary.

Hitoshi was waiting impatiently at their desk, leg bouncing uncontrollably as they brought their hands together, twirling the bracelet around their wrist.

Waiting.

Waiting.

Waiting for the letter from their dream university to come in, the one that would decide their ultimate fate.

If their month-long boyfriend, Izuku, will attend the same school as them.

Izuku was already accepted with a full-ride scholarship, so why not them?

Hitoshi chewed at their bottom lip as the whole household sat in silence, which was odd.

It wasn't unnatural since Mom sometimes loved the silence so she could stew in the crack cocaine she was addicted to but she loved to bustle in the kitchen, Hitoshi would often hear pans clanging together and smell the cookies in the air.

But today?

Only silence.

A simple ding of the computer followed by a confetti cannon shooting cuts them out of their thoughts and purple eyes snap their attention to the laptop screen.

"Congratulations, you've been accepted into U.A. University! Please read the email that—"

Hitoshi jumped up from their desk chair in happiness as the chair that was underneath them bounced in response. They snatched the sleek laptop off the desk and started to run to their door, kicking away stray clothes that were strewn across the room to clear a pathway.

They were so happy, they needed to tell their mother!

Grabbing the doorknob with their free hand, they swung it open and ran into the hallway.

"Mom! I made it! I did—" Hitoshi says before they stooped in their tracks. Purple eyes widened at the scene infront of them while the laptop in their hands dropped, cracked from the impact it made with the ground.

Everything was clean, nothing out of place.

Cocaine brick on the coffee table, drink stains on the beige couches, and China Set's still in that sealed cupboard.

A faint smell of triple chocolate chip cookies invaded their nose.

The photos on the wall sat two—three people.

Themself, Mom, and Dad.

The ceiling fan was spinning.

Spinning.

Spinning while a noose hung the dead body of their mother, the cold yet still air hit their face every few moments as tears came down Hitoshi's cheeks.

Her face was an unnatural blue, eyes rolled into the back of her head.

A stray chair was set in the middle of the ceiling fan, facing them as it mockingly represented a "This, This was your fault."

That was it.

That was the only thing out of place.

Sneak peak of next part (that'll be posted tomorrow)

"However, just as they approached the store, they felt a weird presence that made them violently shiver involuntarily.

Turning their head toward the source of the disturbance, they spotted a black Japanese Bobtail cat with toxic green eyes staring at them from an alleyway that was only seen from the dull streetlight next to it. Those piercing eyes seemed to see right through them."
