As the group took respite after their recent battle, Naruto, despite his best efforts, felt an overwhelming wave of drowsiness taking over. His eyelids drooped, and he felt the urge to sleep seeping into his tired body. Feeling concerned and a bit embarrassed about his inability to stay alert, he turned to Kurama, hoping for some explanation.
"Kurama, why do I feel so sleepy? I'm not that tired," Naruto inquired, wanting to understand the sudden drowsiness.
Kurama, observing Naruto's struggle and feeling a sense of fondness for the boy, thought to himself how endearing Naruto appeared in his moment of vulnerability. However, Kurama chose not to reveal his thoughts and instead responded, "Well, Naruto, you see, your body's age is still five years old. As a result, your physical energy and stamina correspond to that age."
Naruto was momentarily taken aback by Kurama's explanation. He felt a mixture of embarrassment and frustration, realizing that his body's limitations were beyond his control. "But I'm not sleepy!" Naruto protested, trying to push back against the inevitable drowsiness that weighed upon him.
The more he resisted, the heavier the weariness became. Struggling against his body's need for rest, Naruto tried to remain awake. However, the sedative pull of sleep was stronger than his determination. "I-I can... I can fight this!" he mumbled drowsily.
As Naruto tried to stay alert, he felt his consciousness slipping away. He bade a hasty goodbye to Kurama before succumbing to sleep in front of Kurama. He found himself back in reality, glancing around and noticed Dokja nearby and witnessing Naruto slowly dozing off.
Dokja pov:
Dokja huddled with his companions, strategizing their battle against a looming mythological monster. Amongst the intense discussion, his sharp eyes caught Naruto, battling valiantly against the waves of sleep that threatened to engulf him. With an amused smile tugging at his lips, Dokja observed the adorable struggle. Leaning closer to Yoo Sangah and Jung Heewon, he whispered about Naruto's sleepy fight, garnering silent nods in response.
Yoo Sangah stifled a giggle, her eyes twinkling with amusement, while Jung Heewon covered her mouth, muffling any mirth that threatened to escape. They exchanged knowing glances, both understanding the endearing yet humorous sight before them.
Seeing his companions trying to contain their laughter, Dokja approached Naruto, who was now on the brink of slowly surrendering to sleep's embrace."Naruto, you good?you are sleepy?" Dokja whispered slowly and was amused by Naruto fighting off his sleep.
Naruto, with droopy eyes, nodded sleepily, trying to muster a response. "I'm f-fine… just a bit tired."
Dokja could tell Naruto was losing the battle against sleep, which he found incredibly endearing, Dokja noticed the two women stifled their laughter, watching the sleepy Naruto trying to keep his eyes open.
Naruto, not wanting to give in to sleep, continued to insist he was awake. "I-I'm not… sle—" He trailed off,the world blurred around him as his eyelids grew heavier, his head dipping involuntarily,
Dokja, noticing Naruto's struggle was becoming futile, approached him. "Come on, Naruto, let's get you to your room." He gently lifted Naruto in his arms, feeling the boy slowly surrendering to slumber.
"Thank you, Dokja," Naruto mumbled softly as he drifted off, his head resting against Dokja's shoulder.
Walking up the hallway towards Naruto's room, Dokja's heart warmed at the sight of the peaceful, sleeping Naruto. He found the boy's innocence charming and felt a sense of protectiveness towards him.
Resting in Dokja's secure embrace, Naruto found himself slipping into a dreamlike state. His mind wandered to a tranquil realm, where he felt at ease and free from the responsibilities of the real world.
