I got this idea mostly from a character.ai chat. I'm copy and pasting my sentences from there with a few edits when necessary.
BY THE WAY, THIS ONE PLAYED WITH MY FEELS A BIT.

TW: Description of Scars. (Not gore or anything, just a bit eerie, or unnerving.)
Leo Valdez is sitting on the edge of the docks, one foot carelessly dipped into the water of the lake. Boot, sock and all. He was busying himself with some tinkering or other, trying to enjoy this moment of peace. He brought a hand up and swatted at his cheek as a bug bothered him, effectively just getting oil on his face.
"Pendejo..! Go bother the sirens or something!" He chided lightly.
Leo sighed and flicked his eyes back to the shore at the feel of someone's presence.
A girl.
She walked along a second dock. The old wooden slabs creaking under her dirty bare feet. A light breeze billowed ivory-blonde, wavy textured hair. It was an unruly waterfall that cascaded down her back and bounced around her face with each step.
She wore a simple white dress that went down to below her knees. The fabric around her shoulders slipped from my elbows and flowed down my arms in loose sleeves.
Leo could hear faint humming voice and soft, indistinct singing coming from the girl, who was oblivious to his presence.
He looked over to the source of the noise, and spotted the girl, and he was completely hypnotized.
Leo forgot about his little gadget or project, or whatever he was doing, and stared at her. He was so enamored by this mystery girl that he didn't even notice he was staring. He didn't even bother to try to be subtle.
"And so, being young and dipt in folly...I fell in love with melancholy..." I sang softly, my back was to the Latino.
I lowered myself to perch on the edge of the dock. The cloudy skies were washed with white, not a speck of blue. Thunder sounded in the distance.
My forest-green eyes were gazing into the rippling water. A calloused hand was dipped into the lake, swirling in lazy circles.
Leo had never heard such a beautiful voice before.
'This must be what angels sound like...' He thought to himself
He couldn't take his eyes off of her. She was more beautiful than any mortal person he had ever seen. She was like... A dream.
So he kept watching. He had not expected anyone else to be near by, and he was too caught up in admiring her to notice the thundercloud above.
My singing slowed to a stop, only slight humming sounding from my lips. As I turned my head slightly, Leo could notice the small, white patch of fabric that covered half of my face. My hair billowed around it, and strands framed the side of the thin cloth.
