I was in a state of euphoria after finishing reading the journal. Her writing was so descriptive and it felt as if I was living her experiences. Everything about the book had me hooked. She was such a mystery and yet there was nothing that was hidden in her book. She was real and that's what made her so fascinating.

Her writing was just as good as her music and it was amazing. But that phone call still nagged at my anxieties. I felt as if she was all in, but the male that she had talked to after just being so intimate with me made me feel as if there was something holding her back. There was something she wasn't telling me. I just had to wait and find out what it was.

The next day we were both busy, but I had been waiting for the text from her since last night. She was supposed to meet me after her recording session but she never showed. So here I am sulking like a child, sitting at a random coffee shop that she chose by myself waiting on her. Ryan's voice hummed through my airpods as I waited. My FaceTime with her, Dom and Justine was counterproductive, putting me into a whirlwind of emotions and regret.

"It's just something about Vic. She's either all in or all player. But you might tame her," Ryan was trying to calm my nerves but it wasn't working.

"So you think this is about to be a fluke? I really like her and I already fucked up and well..." my voice trailed off.

"You gave her the nookie bitch??!" Justine screamed through the phone.

"See I knew it! No one can last that long with Vicky. Ms.Monet is unmatched!" Dom's face was red with laughter.

" I mean at least it was only once, damn it! We just have chemistry."

" Well not to be Debbie downer or anything but I think someone else been seeing her too but I'm not positive. I'll look into it tho sis," Dom said. Her camera went gray as she began to type rather loudly on the screen. I clicked the phone off in aggravation.
I was about to leave when she rushed into the coffee shop.

"I'm sorry Normani. We ran late, and I couldn't leave. My trainer got in late and we ran over time. He also sent his apologies," Her smile was radiant. "If it makes you feel a little better, I couldn't wait to see you annndd I convinced the label to give us a shot at doing a collab."

" Your trainer? Hmm he must be hella important," I sucked my teeth in annoyance.

"Chill. Its nothing. I missed his appointment the other day and I got to keep this body right now that I have you and rehearsals working me out." She tried to lighten the mood.

"And why exactly do you have to keep it?" I smirked.
"Because you can't seem to keep your hands off it."

"You're a little too cocky and I don't know how to handle that. It's a major turn off."

"Oh really?" Her hands snaked around my waist before migrating to my neck. I shivered with a quick gasp, immediately feeling a familiar dampness in places I shouldn't. She let out a quick giggle. "Oops I forgot were in public."

"Really. Victoria. Stop playing with me."

"Or what?"

"I'll leave," I was half serious. She had a way of pissing me off and turning me on. She was making me feel a certain type of way. I didn't know if I could deal with the idea of being played, but I didn't really have the right to feel a type of way. I was technically a side chick and that thought made me want to puke.

"Well let's get to your car then."

My back arched in ecstasy as she kissed her way down my thighs, her fingers grazing my core. My mind was clouded with pleasure as her tongue found its way between my thighs. The slow rhythm had me moaning in pleasure. She took her time, sucking on the nub of nerves, flicking and sucking with the skill of a God. We couldn't even make it to her room and got stuck on the loveseat in her hallway. We initially tried to talk about what was going on and if she was dating other people so that I can keep my feelings in check; but, somehow, I was fixated on her lips and my clothes ended up on the floor as soon as we made it inside.
