It was now the, next day, and in the drawing room, on a plush seat— was Ester who was painting a beautiful painting of a garden scenery, meanwhile the rest of her sisters were doing their own thing.

Peaches was laid on Ester's lap. Ester was dressed in a dark blue dress with her dear peaches having the same shade for the collar. Her mother, daphne, and Francesca were embroidering, and hyacinth and Eloise were doing their own thing.

The door opens, and violet and daphne stands, Ester looks behind her shoulder as she stops painting as she waits in anticipation. Anthony was the one to come in, and as the male servant holds it open, "Anthony! I did not expect you here this morning." Daphne says in surprise.

Ester simply goes back to her painting as it was just her oldest brother and she couldn't care less. "It is terribly early for you dearest." Their mother comments, "i could not sleep for some reason. All the excitement i presume." Anthony says as he eats a chocolate.

"Am i the first gentleman to arrive?" Antony asks, "i'm going to my room" Ester says before leaving to her room to take a nap after placing the canvas away to let it dry.

She ends up accidentally, entering the drawing room after a few hours passed by while she held her dog in her arms— who narrowed it's dark brown eyes at the guest there, and when she does she accidentally barges on a conversation between daphne and a lord berbrooke, who was in school while daphne was only five— he was someone that Ester had a dislike for.

"Ah, miss Bridgerton." Berbrooke says as he looks up at Ester, and daphne seems relived at the sight of Ester— and Ester eyes berbrooke with distaste.

"Hello lord Berbrooke. I hope you don't mind, but it's getting quite late, is it not?" Ester asks with a false smile.

"Oh, well i was thinking I'd stay for a bit longer, miss Bridgerton." berbrooke says, and daphne straightens up in worry.

"Then you wouldn't mind if i stay here?" Elora asks with a tight smile as she lightly tilts her head. "Uh— i suppose..." berbrooke says, and Ester forces a smile and sits down— peaches growls at him, and berbrooke swallows as he looks nervous at the growling.

"Actually how about i get going. Goodbye miss Bridgertons." Berbrooke says as he stands, bowing just slightly before turning and scurrying off with a imaginary tail in between his legs.

Peaches stops the growing immediately, and daphne breaths a sigh of relief and plops down on the seat next to ester.

"Thank you" daphne says as she looks at Ester with relief, "oh it's quite nothing daphne, that lord berbrooke is quite to bad for you, wasn't he—" Elora says, and she's cut off at the end, "a school boy while i was only 5? Yes, that is correct." Daphne says, and Ester frowns, and she takes daphne's hands into her own

"Are you sure your going to be okay daphne?" Ester freets as she looks at her sister worriedly. Daphne sighs, "im not sure, Anthony believes that he's good and he is suitable..." daphne says, and Ester just pulls daphne into a side hug, "if you need me, im here." Ester says with a warm smile, and daphne looks thankful of Ester's comforting words

It was dinner at, the bridgerton home, and apparently, the duke of Hastings was invited by Antony. During the dinner, everyone was talking, or eating, when the subject of Lady Whistledown was brought up, making the others talk about the woman, "for all we know, lady whistledown may be a lady living in bloomsbury of all places" Colin says, and Ester just eyes him.

"And what would be so terrible about bloomsbury?" Benedict asks with a raised brow, "that people there actually work for a living?" Anthony replies, and Ester eyes him with a small smirk of amusement as she eats her food while lightly shaking her head.

"She does seem to be someone with access." Daphne comments, "she does only write about the people in the high society, she couldn't live somewhere else other than up here in the high society without being a ladies maid, but that would be impossible." Ester comments on the matter.

"Who know if whistledown is even a she?" Colin asks, and Ester eyes him. "Fair point" Antony responds. "Because she's simply too good to be anyone but a man?" Eloise snarks back, Colin just shakes his head amusingly.

"Well i think it rather obvious that the writer is lady Danbury" Francesca says as she looked at them, "lady Danbury enjoys sharing her insults with society directly. She would never bother with writing them down" daphne tells Francesca in response.

"Even if she did bother with such task, in the papers it talks about her as well, and she'd never tarnish her own reputation." Ester adds on of the rejection that it could be lady Danbury.

"Could it be lady featherington?" Hyacinth suggests, and the table collectively says 'no' with exception of the duke of Hastings who had a amused look

"You have yet to read what lady whistledown writes about of the featheringtons, little sister. There's not a chance it could be Lady Featherington" Ester tells hyacinth with a light laughter.

"You must forgive this rather unruly debate, your grace." Their mother tells Hastings, "Nonsense. I find it entertaining." Hastings says, "Oh!" Violet chuckles. Hastings talks to their mother about things, and while the duke and daphne were talking... well arguing, Ester watches with amusement

"Hastings. I'm so glad you l decided to join us this evening, it was most spontaneous of you two" Antony says, and Hastings looks at him.

"Not at all. With lady danbury accepting your dear mother's gracious invitation on my behalf... well, however could i have declined?" Hastings states.

"You must stay for desert, it's gooseberry pie." Violet says, "ah! Lovely!" Hastings says
