Big ride? have a Big Mac

Just barely an hour had passed, and everyone was just as, if not more miserable to be stuck in a car a second away from pissing each-other off. "Daddy, can we go to McDonalds!?" Elizabeth grinned widely, waiting for William to look back at her through the rear view mirror, which he did. "Nope, I have dinner planned for when we arrive inn,,,, 5 hours!" William smiled.

"Five hours!?" She responded back, practically outraged. "I'm not waiting that long." She said, crossing her arms. William sighed, and changed the driving route, turning into the next city. Once he'd gotten in, it only took a few minutes to find a mcdonalds, and so he parked.

"Come on out." William shut the car off and opened his door, and so did everyone else, so once they'd gotten out, they'd shut the doors and began going to the entrance, Elizabeth deciding to sprint ahead of everyone else and into the building.

Getting inside, it was time to order the meals. "I'm going to the PLAY PLACE!" Elizabeth loudly exclaimed, dragging Evan along with her by the hand, leaving William and Michael to order alone.

William began thinking of what to get, he counted in two happy meals, a big mac for him,, and questioned Michael on his order, "What're you getting?" He asked. Michael took a pause, staring down the menu like this would be the most life changing decision in his entire lifetime.

"Theeeee,,, uuhhh...." He furrowed his eyebrows for a moment, trying to figure it out, leaving William impatiently sighing while looking at him to wait for his answer. "Well?" He pushed, seeing the worker behind the counter give a stare.

"Just- give me a minute I'm thinking." He started fidgeting with his hands, taking small pauses as if he were about to choose, and then backing out. "Michael, hurry up, we're being stared at." William awkwardly shifted his gaze between his indecisive son and the impatient cashier.

"Okay, okay,, uhh.. 20 nuggets aandd,, a fountain drink." He finally decided, and looked way too proud for just picking a meal off a McDonalds menu. "Jesus, finally." William finally stepped up to the front, speaking out the order, and receiving their number.

"Get Elizabeth and Evan, it's almost ready." William said, watching as Michael quickly jogged off after, and their number had been called. Elizabeth and Evan ran out, Elizabeth rushing to pick their seats right as William turned around with their food trays. 

"I picked this one! put it here!" Elizabeth grinned widely, Evan sat next to her, Michael and William taking the seats across. "What do you guys say?" William said, placing the food down in-front of them "Thank you" Each of them said, which hardly meant anything with William needing to remind them.

Each of them dug in, not trying to savor it one single bit, they'd just been too excited. Mid eating, there'd finally been one single bit of peace,, until Evan finished and got down to play again, but Michael set his foot out and tripped him. A loud thunk heard as Evan's hands slapped on the ground while he caught himself, and then he just absolutely bawled. 

The snickers coming from Michael turned into dead silence and his smile dropping completely as people looked over and he moved his foot away, pretending he hadn't caused this whole thing. 

William got up, walking over to Evan, lifting him off the ground and setting him back into his seat. "Sorry everybody,, he uh.. tripped!" William awkwardly spoke out trying to make everyone's attention shift back to their own individual tables and food.

He sat back down, giving Michael a pissed off stare. Elizabeth whispered to Evan and hugged him, sharing some of her fries, and handing him some of the napkins to wipe his tears.

"Soo,, uh. Guess he really did need a HAPPY meal.." Michael joked, snickering at his own joke, putting his hand over his mouth to block full on laughter, gaining stares from William and Elizabeth, and a few more sobs from Evan.

McDonalds had officially become just as much of a disaster as driving cramped in the car!
