The smell of summer

In summer's embrace, a fragrant affair,
An aroma wafts through the warm, sunlit air.
A symphony of scents, so sweet and sublime,
Delightful sensations, a nostalgic chime.

The scent of blooming flowers, vibrant and bright,
Their colors dancing, in nature's pure delight.
Roses, lilies, daisies, their fragrance so pure,
Capturing hearts, an enchanting allure.

The grass, freshly cut, with its verdant perfume,
Whispering secrets in a heavenly bloom.
A symphony of green, in every blade's sway,
Inviting bare feet, to skip and play.

The ocean, nearby, with its salty embrace,
Carries whispers of summer, with each gentle trace.
Seashells and seaweed, as they wash ashore,
Whisper tales of adventure, forevermore.

The aroma of sunscreen, kissed by the sun,
A comforting reminder that summer's begun.
Coconut and jasmine linger on the breeze,
A sensual symphony, putting minds at ease.

The sizzle of barbecues, filling the air,
Charred burgers and hotdogs, a savory affair.
The smoke mingling with laughter and cheer,
Creating memories that will forever adhere.

As day turns to dusk, and the fireflies gleam,
The scent of bonfires, like a beautiful dream.
Wood smoke and marshmallows, a delicious delight,
Underneath the stars, a magical sight.

The smell of summer, a treasured bouquet,
Inviting us to pause, to truly stay.
Basking in its symphony, with every passing day,
Knowing its essence, will never fade away.
