"Why do you think this is a good idea?" "Because one more push, and Tyson will be unstuck" I said. Tyson was this big kid at mine and Percy's new middle school. I was mostly there to help Percy with his grades and helping him with Tyson. Tyson was the school's new project, a way for kids to 'make themselves feel good about themselves'. After the students found out Tyson was a big softie despite his muscles and scary looks, they made themselves feel better by picking on him.  I considered it nothing short of a personal miracle that I hadn't been thrown out yet. Sloan, the biggest bully at Meriwether, tried to give Tyson a wedgie. Tyson panicked and accidentally swatted at him a bit too hard. Sloan flew fifteen feet, and he got tangled in the little kid's tire swing. "You freak! Why don't you go back to your cardboard box!" Tyson started crying. "Take it back, Sloan!" Percy yelled, but he was a bit late. Grass had entwined itself around Sloan's legs and was pulling him into the ground. "Ahhhh!" Sloan yelled. "Let me go, Black!" "Take it back, then" I said, urging the earth to take him down further. "Alright, I take it back, I take it back!" The ground stopped moving. "You bunch of freaks!" Sloan yelled, running away. "There we go. Are you okay, Tyson?" Tyson had sat down on the jungle gym, flattening a portion of it. I sighed and asked Percy to help me get him. He had gotten stuck. "Yes, thank you, Lilly, Percy" Tyson sobbed, finally free. "Not a problem, big guy" Percy said.

We entered our next class, chemistry. Really a pointless subject at Meriwether, as the assignment was to mix a bunch of chemicals together until we made something explode. Tyson and Percy were lab partners, and I was by myself. Tyson's hands were too big for the tiny vials we were supposed to use, so he knocked a tray of them down and made an orange mushroom clod in the trash. After the teacher cleared out the class, she praised Percy and Tyson for being the only students to ever pass her exam in thirty seconds. "What were you thinking?" I yelled. "If this had been Yancy Academy (Percy's old school), we'd be expelled already! That, or monsters would already be on our tails!" "Shhh" Percy hissed. "Calm down, have you learned nothing from last summer?" Last summer, I had dragged Percy's butt across the States to retrieve Zeus's lightning bolt from Hades, who had taken Percy's mother, Sally Jackson. It turned out that Kronos had ordered Luke Castellan, a son of Hermes, to take both the bolt and Hades' helm to start a three-way war between the Big Three. "I know, I know" Percy sighed. "Let's just try to get through P.E, okay?"

P.E wins top spot for my least favorite subject and Percy's absolute favorite. I preferred history and literature, (Being the only demigod without dyslexia has its advantages) while Percy is untouchable when doing any kind of extracurricular that does not involve reading, math, or history. Mind you, I've been on over three hundred quests in my life, starting at age eight, and I'm no stranger to a challenge. Fighting giants with dodgeballs, that's a challenge.

Sloan's buddies had turned into ten-feet tall giants, all ugly and with horrible (and less horrible) tattoos. Unfortunately for us, there was no water in sight that Percy could use, son of Poseidon and all (Thank you for this, Poseidon. It's been realll fun staying up till the wee hours of the morning helping your son with algebra. Thank you, so much!), so we were basically fish out of water. (Eat it, Poseidon!) Suddenly, Annabeth Chase came through the massive hole in the wall from one of the giants, Joe Bob. "Come on!" she yelled, yanking off her Yankees invisibility cap. I jumped out of the hole after Percy and Tyson, showing a very rude symbol to the faculty. That's when I noticed Tyson looked different, He only had one... eye. "Annabeth, did you-" "Hurry!" she yelled. "Where are we going?" Percy asked. "Knowing Annabeth, she probably has a plan" I caught Annabeth's eye and grinned. "Percy, I present to you, the Gray Sisters."
