Mountain Battle Part Two

Blakeleigh's Point of View
"Reports are coming in that the beautiful resort destination and home of the Great Smokey Mountains, Gatlinburg, Tennessee is under attack by what appears to be a pack of werewolves." I feel my heart break hearing the report about my hometown being under attack. I sigh and sink into Johnny's arms feeling them around me.

"We'll fix this. No worries." Johnny said then kissed my cheek.

"It'll be good to be home. I miss it." I take a deep breath and smile thinking of home.

"There is no way!" Braxton muttered a bit but just enough to where he could be understood.

"Oh, there's a way. Well, look, little Miss Rogue Wolf brought friends." My heart caught in my throat, as Johnny stepped in front of me anger written all over his face after a moment I growled at the wolf that took his human form.

"I'm not a fucking rogue, Jayk!" I glare at him trying my hardest to breathe without strangling him.

"I can't believe he got out and he called me a fucking rogue." I let the hot, angry tears fall down my face.
We knew things had been bad... I just hadn't expected it to be anywhere near as bad as it was. We all go to bed and get some rest for the busy day ahead of us.

Present- Third-Person Point of View
Blakeleigh sat up and groaned, turning off her alarm, normally, she would be a bit more excited waking up back home but knowing why she was there she dreaded it, she was ready to get it all over with and finish taking out Jayk's pack so maybe she could enjoy her time being home and show Johnny and the others around.

Blakeigh's Point of View
I get up and stretch, I get dressed, pull my hair back, and head to the kitchen for some breakfast and smile when I feel Johnny's arms around my waist and lean my head back on his shoulder.

"G'mornin sunshine." He kisses my cheek

"Morning love." I sigh, not completely ready for what the day brings.

"Everybody make sure you eat plenty, this battle is going to take everything we've got," Reed says as he walks in.

"I'm just ready for this all to be over with. Ready to enjoy my time here and just breathe in the mountain air." After we eat we head out and meet Braxton, Peter, Kamala, and Doreen at the spot hoping that we can get control of the situation at hand. I jump one of the wolves expecting them to fight back but when they don't I pull away after they reclaim their human form.

"Maria?!" I guard her from one of Braxton's moon darts, catching it mid-air.

"I didn't want any of this." I could see her eyes glazing over.

"It's ok, you're safe with us. Ok?"

"Thank you."  Braxton comes to us with a puzzled look.

"She is an old friend, an unwilling victim of Jayk's. Get her to safety?"

"I can do that." Braxton nods. After everything was said and done and the whole pack was taken down we all headed back to the guest house and Jaydon checked all of Maria's vitals and made sure everything was alright within her bloodstream. I noticed that Maria was extremely quiet so I decided to talk to her and see what was going on.

"You're not usually this quiet. Is everything alright?" I ask and she takes a deep breath.

"I have nowhere to go. After Jayk changed me he told me to join him, I said no and then he burnt my house down. I rented an apartment for a while but eventually, I couldn't afford to pay the rent anymore. No one wanted to hire me after they found out about me being a werewolf." Sue walked in about the time Maria was saying this.

"Why don't you come back with us when we leave? You are more than welcome to stay with us. Plus you are more likely to find work in New York."  Johnny walks up behind me and wraps his arms around me, kissing me on the cheek.

"Thank you. Are you sure Reed will be cool with my tagging along? I wouldn't want to cause any trouble." 

"Of course. There wouldn't be any trouble." Maria gave Sue a grateful smile

"Hey, Jaydon was wondering if we all wanted to go eat?"

"Sounds good to me. Maybe I can show you around afterward?" I smile.

"I would love that." Something about Johnny's embrace just made me feel so safe and at home.
