oe hì'i Syulang - My little flower
This is before the movie
So this is in the forest
Jake was on his way home when he spotted his daughter by herself. He noticed that she wasn't in her usual happy mood. Liyanin looked sad and Jake hated seeing his kids sad especially his little Syulang. He knew how hard it was for her, being different, but he couldn't imagine how she felt. She looked like a Na'vi, but her skin was the color of a human and he looked like a Na'vi, but with four fingers. (They don't count the thumb as a finger)
Jake didn't know how hard it was for Liyanin to fit in, to be accepted by her own people. Some Na'vi said she was a blessing from Eywa herself, but some didn't see it that way, but they were too afraid to speak their thoughts because she was the daughter to their Olo'eyktan. But her family loved her no matter how she looked because in their eyes she was a true Na'vi.
Jake walked up to his little daughter and sat down beside her looking out the village not saying a word, he only put his arm around her, waiting for the perfect moment to speak.
Liyanin saw his shadow over her and felt him sit down beside her. She felt his arm going around her shoulders and she felt comfort in the gesture. "How are you feeling oe hì'i Syulang?" (My little flower)
Jake asked her as he pulled her towards his chest.
Liyanin looked down not knowing what to say.
She felt out of place by her own people, like she was a freak in a place where she didn't belong.
Jake wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tight not letting her go, afraid that this moment would fade away.
"You can talk to me" Jake said in a soft voice. "I will always be here and I will always listen to you"
What Jake didn't know was that Liyanin had him wrapped around her finger and Neytiri always teased him about it,
but he denied it and said it wasn't true but deep down he knew it was.
Liyanin sucked in a breath and played with her fingers. "I feel like I don belon here" She mumbled, still not knowing how to talk properly. Jake heard her and he pulled her head up so he could see her eyes.
"Of course you belong here baby" Jake told her and stroked her hair.
Liyanin pushed her father away and stood up. "No I do not" she cried as she tried to control her tears.
"I see, the look a me" she looked at her father.
"I see whispers abow me" she pointed at herself. Jake tried holding his tears but he couldn't. He hated that his own clan bullied his little girl, talked behind her back. He was angry, they could talk bad about him, but not about his children.
"I do no belon here sempú" Liyanin cried as she held her arms around herself.
Jake got up from the ground and kneeled in front of his daughter who trashed in her father's arms. "Liyanin" Jake tried. "Syulang" Jake tried again as he made her look at him while he pulled her towards him.
"You are special, you are not different" He told her as he held her cheeks in his hands.
"You may have a different skin color, but you're a na'vi" He wiped away her tears wing his thumbs. "Eywa blessed you, she gave you to us and both me and your mom couldn't be happier. Your siblings love you and you have a whole family who would do anything to protect you. Do you hear me?"
He said as he looked into her eyes. Liyanin only nodded.
"Eywa gave you a second chance baby, you are our little sunlight, our little star, our little moon" Liyanin cried as she threw herself at her father who hugged her tight.
"Don't let anyone bring you down, you are a Sully and Sullys always sticks together" He said as he stroked her hair. Jake pulls away when he heard footsteps behind him and when he turned around his whole family was there and they all had tears in their eyes. Neteyam walked up to his sister and sat down beside her, opening his arms for her and she gladly moved over to her brother who hugged her tight. Kiri moved next and sat down beside Neteyam and hugged Liyanin from behind. Tuk ran up and squeezed between Kiri and Liyanin so she could hug her little sister, making all of them laugh. Lo'ak stood awkwardly behind them not knowing what to do. Both Neytiri and Kiri rolled their eyes at their brother, son. Kiri dragged her brother down who fell beside her and Kiri took his arms and wrapped them around their little sister. Neytiri joined in after wrapping her arms around all of her children and Jake came after and wrapped his arms around all of them. Liyanin smiled at this, happy that she had this amazing family who would do anything for her.
