"ANONG pinagusapan n'yo?" Genesis asked me as he slowly dragged me away from Exodus.
I shook my head at him as I smiled a little.
"Wala, sa amin na lang 'yun."
"I am your bestfriend!"
I stared at him
"Exactly, not my diary." He was supposed to say something but we were interrupted by an announcement"
Yuri was staged to sing with a male individual and it's not just someone—it's Ran. Rogue Aristhark Turgeneva, Throy's cousin.
Ahead siya ng 4 years sa amin but we're a bit close to him because he helps Lithum in our arrangements in the Band, siya rin ang dahilan kung bakit nakakatugtog kami sa Spade High regularly, twice a month. Saturday in the first half and Friday in the latter half.
"Anong song yan?"
Mahinang tanong ni Xhianne, she was all smiles while watching the scene in front of us.
Yuyu is very shy. She has a nice voice—cute of course, nag voice lesson kami pareho noong bata pa kami. But unlike me who's confident in being a vocalist, Yuyu doesn't sing except when we guys jam at the beach.
Well in my case actually, nakasanayan ko na lang rin ang maging confident sa performance ko sa banda, because why not?
I am the frontwoman of Lithium, I had no choice.
"Alam mo Yaa?" Yella asked me. I nodded my head before replying
"It's Brown Eyes!"
"Oh ang ganda kasi ng beat, will download it later."
Napangiti ako as my eyes settled on my cousin.
Lady Gaga sang the song and yes it was good. Although parang everything lang ang naririnig ko, the song is really great, it is an emotional ballad.
Subjective ang interpretation, nevertheless I could relate to it. Mapanakit talaga kahit kailan si Yuri, kahit pa ang mga kinakanta niya.
"Chen pwede palit tayo ng seat?" Untag ko kay Chen.
"Huh? Bakit?"
"What's wrong Mara?"
"Ah hindi, hindi ko kasi masyadong nakikita si Yuyu eh alam mo na bihira siya kumanta."
Chen smiled at me. Although hindi naman talaga 'yun ang rason, I am settling on a chair in front of Genesis, hindi ako komportable.
Kahit naman may pagkamalandi ako at patuloy na umaasa sa posibilidad na maging kami, nasasaktan rin naman ako. At alam ko kung kelan ako tatanggap ng rejection.
"Ay pwede naman here Mara, palit tayo."
Sabi ni Alvory sa akin. I smiled at her, she was sitting beside Genesis and yes, if I was going to follow the reason I made up, her position was perfect but then again—that was a lie so I shook my head.
Ang ganda ganda ni Alvory ngayong gabi sa suot niyang champagne bodycon dress na silk. Actually palagi naman siyang maganda, sa aming lahat silang dalawa ni Berry ang may pinakamalakas na sex appeal sa mga babae. Si Lucas at X naman sa mga lalaki.
Sa Valentines sila ang may pinakamadaming hakot ng chocolates at bulaklak; si Yuri naman ang tagakain ng mga 'yun dahil puro kami conscious sa calories.
"Hindi na, doon na ako ako kay Chen."
"Oh alright."
Napatingin ako kay Genesis. I did not expect that he was also staring at me, inirapan ko siya bago ako humarap sa stage.
