chapter 8

as you looked up at him, with your puffy red eyes as the tears made your skin rough and dry as the tears take all the moisture and softness away.
"who are you?" you asked after a long awkward silence.

that man chuckled.

"it is the guy you fought during the exchange event" he said in a happy smiley tone.

"nanami kento?" you said whipping your tears. "what are you doing here?"

"i was just walking by when i heard a female voice cry,you know that your voice is so calm and soothing even when you cry?" he said touching your cheek and whipping the tears that were running down it.

"thank you....." you said sniffing.

"no worries, i understand how hard it is to see someone you cherish hurt or loose the person that were close to you" he said softly looking up.

"im so sorry for your loss, really" you said trying to show empathy towards him, just like he did towards you a while back.

he just remained silent as you curled up against the wall.
after awhile, he broke the silence again.

"wanna go somewhere....uhhhh maybe it will cheer you up?" he said trying to make you happier.

"i dont think its a good idea to go somewhere.....since you know my friend is in the hospital...." you said as you sighed.

you could see that he felt bad after saying that nonsense to go somewhere and just get off her mind something traumatising and sad like that, so he just kept his mouth shut because of embarrassment.

after 10 minutes he finally spoke up.

"are you sure you're okay ?" he asked softly again.

"im fine...."

he looked at you,maybe waiting for you to talk, give him a sign that you were actually okay after a while and he got up.

"i will be right back, just stay here" he said as he ran out of the already dark street.

as you looked up, the stars were shining different variations of silver. it was a beautiful night.

nanami, came back shortly. his face was red and he had a hard time catching his breath.

"here" breath "i got you hot chocolate"

your eyes lit up and you smiled softly.

"aw, thats very nice ! thank you!" you said as he passed you a cardboard cup with hot chocolate inside.

"no worries, i hope you like it" he said sitting down next to you.

after sitting with him for a few hours, talking about a lot of things like school experience and other things about life, and you eventually got a long awaited phone call from the hospital saying that your friend is in a stable condition, meaning she will wake up any moment from now.
your heart pounded hard as you heard these words. you were so incredibly happy to know that she's safe and sound, and that she's feeling better.

and when he  saw the smile on your face it made his mouth twitch into a smile, he looked at you from a small distance, making sure that your smile wont drop, and if it did. to comfort you. as he waited for you to finish your call and tell him what's going on, he took a step closer.

"so? is everything good with your friend ?" he asked in a friendly tone as you put your phone back into your pocket.

"shes in stable condition and she's going to wake up soon !" you said smiling softly at him.

your smile made him rethink everything, the fact that you were the sweetest and most caring person he knew, he couldn't understand why you have to be a sorcerer and why you can't just leave the jujutsu world.... he was scared you will end up dead like his dearest friend...
he eventually pushed the thoughts out as he knew, that you're strong enough to survive, but  he would risk his life if he needed to for you.....

after a few moments of awkward silence he replied.

"that's great news!" he said smiling back, "are you planning on visiting her today?"

you thought for a moment...

"i think it's better to wait until tomorrow. i'm not sure the doctors will like me being in her hospital room when she just woke up" you said standing up.

"valid" he replied standing next to you.

you just smiled as you picked up your trash and went to the trash can to throw it away before turning back to him.

"thank you for being with me this whole time ! i felt much better thanks to you !" you said smiling once again.

your words made his eyes widen and he just chuckled.

"no need to thank me, i was doing the bare minimum anyways" he said scratching the back of his neck while looking down at you.

you chuckled as you waved at him as you were going now to the metro station to catch a train to get home. as you walked there slowly and carefully, he was still standing there observing her and making sure nothing will happen to you on the way to the station, smiling.

sorry for not updating for over two months.... school pressure is a real thing and plus i had no idea how to continue the story for some time and just got it now so i hope you enjoyed the chapter ! i will try to update soon ! love you all and thanks for 600 reads (i'm speechless bro)
