Hiii!! Shocker, i know, but I'm back for another chapter!! My country is currently in the middle of exams and I have so much marking to do in very little time, but it's sooooo difficult to mark! I have NO motivation for the end of the year marking!! Just 3 more weeks then we're on holiday for almost a month!!

The three of them chuckled at their early misfortune. Now that they were older they knew they went about her wrong, but they didn't regret it. In the end it gave them her.

The men fell asleep next to Aurora's bed, they've had a tiring couple of days. The doctors said they're still nowhere closer to a solution than they were at the beginning but everyone was still hopeful. All except a certain red head who's disdain for Aurora came back tenfold. She already struggled to gain their affection while Aurora was presumed dead, but now that she was back she received literally none. They just wouldn't leave her damn side! How was she supposed to get a moment alone with any of them if they're hung up over someone who's basically a breathing corpse?

Lily believed she had to save them from suffering the same fate. They didn't eat, sleep or breath if they weren't with her.

Lily snuck into the make-shift hospital room, the dark walls contained an even darker atmosphere. She walked silently to the bed that she was in and saw the men, her men laying next to the fucking corpse.
She looked at their chests and saw that their breathing was even, they were deeply asleep.
Lily took a moment to look at Aurora too. She might have fucking loathed the girl but even she could admit that Aurora was stunning, even as a breathing corpse she retained her youthful and beautiful looks.
Lily hated her for it, the only thing that made her feel the slightest bit better were the scars that marred her once flawless skin. She remembered how the boys always had to touch Aurora somehow, always saying how soft her skin felt to the touch. The bitch doesn't look like she has soft skin now Lily thought so herself. She couldn't help but sneer at the fact that even though Aurora's skin was damaged, the boys still held on to her, even in their sleep.

Lily was snapped out of her thoughts by the machine that breathed for Aurora on the right side of her bed.
She silently walked towards the machine, mindful of not waking the boys up. When she got to the machine she turned her head to face Aurora again. She examined the pipe that entered through her mouth amd went all the way to her lungs, inflating and deflating her chest like a baloon.
She followed the pipe back to the machine and saw a red button on it.
OFF.

She stared at the button for what seemed like an eternity, contemplating. Could she truly do it? The boys were basically lifeless if they weren't next to Aurora. They finally got over her death and started moving on. They were getting better and Lily had hopes that they would eventually see how much she loved them and finally choose her.

And then the corpse came back.

All the progress they made flew out the window when she came back.
So Lily saw this as doing evil for a greater good. The Marauders took off from their Auror duties to be with her and put others in danger. So she'd be saving them and her. It would be a mercy death.

Obviously they'll grieve again, but she'll be there, waiting like last time with open arms, but this time she won't let them leave her again.

Mind made up she spared one last look at James, Sirius and Remus to make sure they're asleep. They were clutching onto the girl, she could've bruised if she wasn't basically dead. They'll see eventually that they love Lily, she knows they do. They might not know it yet, but they will. Lily was a very patient person, she'll wait. Maybe Aurora's death will open their eyes and they'll see that Aurora was just a childhood crush, nothing more.

Lily slowly raised her had towards the OFF button. Sweat ran down her neck from the stress and excitement of finally getting what she deserves. She felt like electricity was drumming through her whole body. I'll finally have them all to myself. She won't get in tge way again! Ever ao slowly she inched her finger towards the big, red button. Her button to freedom. Her button to finally being their first choice.

She got giddy at the thought of having them all to herself like ot was intended. Even if she could only have one of them she'd be happy. She'll risk ruining the Marauders to have even one of them. Just. For. Her.

Just as her pointer finger touched the button, movement caught her eye. She froze with dread, there was no way she could explain this away. She slowly turned her head to the left.
Lily felt her heart fall through her arsehole. Staring back at her was a set of forest green eyes, no light in them. Aurora was awake. She just stared though, not even attempting to fight. The truth was Aurora was numb, she didn't even panic at the sight before her, she only cared about whether she would die or not.
I fought for years and I'll be damned if some carrot flavoured tart was the one who killed me! Aurora thought. She felt movement in her left hand and without a thought she squeezed as hard as she could. James awoke with a start, scaring Lily away from the ventilator.

He looked around shocked for a second before noticing Lily behind him. He turned to her and looked at her funny.
"Lily, what are you doing here?" he asked.
"Uhm...I just...I came to see iiiffff...how you guys were doing!" she smiled awkwardly.

James was about to answer when he felt another squeeze. He flung his head back towards the bed and he was shocked by the vision he saw. Forest green eyes. Her eyes. She was awake!

He immediately embraced Aurora which woke the other two. They saw James hug their love while sobbing and their hearts also fell through their arseholes. Could they have slept through her dying? A range of emotions went through Sirius and Remus, they didn't even notice Lily discreetly leaving the room with a sour look on her face.

"JAMES! JAMES WHAT HAPPENED?!" Remus screamed.
He tugged on James but James refused to let go or move.
Now they were really worried.
"Prongs! Is she dead? Did we miss her last moments? FUCK SAKE! ANSWER YOU ANTLERED BITCH!" Sirius screamed.
James just kept on sobbing, the other two joining him for a different reason. Sirius and Remus believed Aurora had died and they grieved. Their hearts ripping to shreds.

James finally moved away and the two finally saw her eyes. Those forest greens looked at them.
In Aurora's surpise Remus and Sirius jumped on the bed and dog piled her. James joining in soon after. The three men sobbed like babies, basically drowning Aurora in tears. She believed she was happy to see them, she knew she should be, but she wasn't. She didn't feel a thing. She was numb. Her limbs and wings were still not returned from the fly trap she was caught in.

She felt nothing.
