~Chapter 9~

During the conversation with Light, he had asked to Space Land with Haru accompanying you. You of course being the person you are said yes. The day was arriving soon. Between taking care of your son, studying, and hanging out with different types of rich people in the club you ran, you were exhausted. You were now currently tucking Haru in, noticing he was unhappy.

"What's wrong buddy?"

"Nothing" You could tell something was wrong, but you didn't want to nitpick.

"Ok, just know that you can tell me anything"

"Daddy, can I tell you without you getting mad at me?"

"What happened?"

"I don't like Light and," He started muttering, "I don't want to go tomorrow."

"How about I have Matsuda come over and babysit? And I'll go with light since I already said I would" You said, smiling at your only son.

He finally lit up. "Yeah" He kinda shouted.

"Okay, let's read this chapter, and then I'll call him after you're asleep"

'Note to self, never leave Haru alone with Light' You trusted your son.

You started reading 'Romeo and Juliet' while Haru fell asleep almost immediately.

_Time Skip_ To the day that Light puts his action to plan

I had waited at the bus stop for Light 5 minute before he showed up, as we waited for the bus we talked about Haru and why he hadn't come along.

"So, why didn't Haru come?"

"Well, he was not feeling well, I made the decision to make him stay home."

"Make him?"

"Oh, he wanted to come still." You said lying through your teeth. You told Haru that this was the excuse you came up with this morning.

Light faked a frown."How unfortunate, I thought he would get sick at the park last night."

Referring to the trip you three had taken prior to Haru's bedtime, last night.

"Oh, the bus is here." You said just now, seeing the large white vehicle pulling up into the street.

Light just smiled and let you get on first.

You continued talking to Light, just barely noticing the man that sat behind you. The man was obviously tail either you, light, or the person that sat in front of you. How you noticed this? The man kept staring directly at you, Light, and directly in front of you. Which wouldn't have been odd if he wasn't writing don everything he saw.

"Do you think you are ready for the entrance exams for To-Oh?" Your younger friend had asked.

"Yeah, I think Haru is ready for me to go to college again. He's sick of me sitting at home or the club, solving random puzzles, crimes, or anything I can find" You laughed.

"Crimes?" Light looked at you suspicious.

"Oh, I've been solving random cold cases I can find., it's not as hard as you would think."

"Oh that's cool, I knew you were smart but not that smart!" He looked genuinely surprised.

"Wow, I feel off-"

You had gotten cut off when a disheveled man got onto the bus. He looked drugged up and you tensed up. You looked at Light to make sure he was having the same feeling you were; the feeling of absolute dread. You could tell he was trying to look concerned, but he was secretly smirking. The disheveled man was starting to scream at the bus driver. Talking about how he was going to need all the profits from the previous day delivered to him in a case, unmarked. Almost every passenger except you and Light were trembling. You noticed an old lady sitting adjacent to you, she looked terrified, you looked at her and gave her a reassuring smile. She smiled back and the man, who you know knew as Kiichiro Osoreda, saw this interaction.

"You the h/c one, what are you playing?!"

You looked back at him with a face of disgust.

"Nothing, just trying to figure out why an idiot is robbing a huge company in the middle of the day? It December, are you trying to steal to afford to give people something for Christmas? Or are you just an idiot?"

Light looked shocked at you, he never knew someone who stood up for anything.

"Excuse me?!"

The drugged up man took notice of the piece of paper on the floor beside you.

"What's this plans to overthrow my whole operation?" The man looked at the paper and mumbled. "Just stupid plans for a day at Space Land."

The man then looked up to the ceiling of the back of the bus.

"What's that?! This is your doing, isn't it? I out of shot you right now, you stupid h/c!"

The man pointed the gun at you.

The man behind you then pulled out a gun and pointed it to the man.

"Raye Penber FBI, put the gun down"

The man ended up putting the gun down, it fired shots at random. The man ran right off the bus. Right into a car. Light smiled, something you picked up after looking at the gruesome scene.
