Hanagaki Takemichi, or Takemitchy, was a timeleaper. He got the gift of a second chance 12 years into the future when someone pushed him off the platform on to the tracks in the way of an oncoming train. It became his mission to save his girlfriend from middle school who kept on dying because of this gang called Tokyo Manji Gang. It didn't make any sense because just what connection did Tachibana Hinata have to Tokyo Manji Gang that they kept killing her? But with the help of Tachibana Naoto(Hinata's brother), Takemichi's trigger to go from the future to past and vice versa, he wasn't going to stop till he saved her. It seems that Kisaki Tetta is the one who's really controlling all this, the reason why Tokyo Manji Gang becomes evil in the future. Sano "Mikey" Manjiro was nothing like his supposed future self and it made Takemichi wonder if it really was all Kisaki Tetta's doing.
After the battle of August 3rd where he saved the life of Ryuguji Ken, as known as Draken and Toman's Vice Commander, he thought everything would be fine in the future. But no, this time he watched as Tachibana Hinata died. The sight had been painful and Takemichi swore to himself and Naoto that he would save her. So the mission this time was to make sure Sano "Mikey" Manjiro didn't kill Hanemiya Kazutora and that Kazutora didn't kill Baji Keisuke, Tokyo Manji Gang's former first Division captain who was now amongst Valhalla. "Who are all these people?" Takemichi asks as he stands in the center of the junkyard full of gang leaders
"They're spectators" Matsuno Chifuyu says
Matsuno Chifuyu was Baji Keisuke's vice-captain, his most trusted aide. To get into Valhalla, Baji beat up Chifuyu pretty bad. Although he didn't look all too bad anymore, he still had an eye patch on. According to Chifuyu, Baji joined Valhalla so he could try and find out Kisaki's motives. Takemichi had to commend him for playing the part of a traitor so well. "Toman versus Valhalla. Whoever wins today's conflict will be one step closer to ruling Tokyo" Chifuyu explains "This fight's caught the attention of all the influential delinquents in Tokyo"
Days before the fight Takemichi found a charm with a photo folded into it. It was a picture of Tokyo Manji Gang's Founding members. However at first he'd been confused at the sight of 7 people in the photo and not 5 like he thought there'd be. Even more surprising that one was a girl.One of them, had a tiger tattoo on the side of his neck as well as a dangling earring and short permed hair. The other, the only girl, had icey blue eyes, a small scar on the outer corner of her left eye, a thin plus mark tattoo on the apple of her right cheek, and a short bob cut that was a little wavy-curly. Takemichi didn't know Toman had a girl. Eventually he figured out one of the two unknown people in the picture was Hanemiya Kazutora and the other, Higami Hanabi who left Toman after the death Sano Shinichiro and her own brother Higami Ryu. Takemichi wonders if she was even still alive. There hadn't been any mention of her at all.
Takemichi unfortunately wasn't able to complete his mission either. Baji Keisuke dies at the hands of Hanemiya Kazutora and he barely stop Mikey from killing the former. While Chifuyu cries over Baji's cold body, they learn not only that it was Baji's idea to create Toman but also Higami Hanabi had actually been MIA for the past 2 years and no one knows where she is. Takemichi wonders where she is and if he was able to complete his mission this time.
On October 31st, 2005, 150 members of The Tokyo Manji Gang fought 300 members of Valhalla. The conflict that ended in Toman's victory resulted in one death and one arrest.
Eventually, that conflict would be known as Bloody Halloween.
This conflict sparks rumours of the possible return of Tokyo Manji Gang's founding member, Higami Hanabi as well as forgotten rumours of Sano Shinichiro and Higami Ryu.
"Mikey-kun" Takemichi says to him as they sit in a random park, a few days after Baji's funeral
Mikey only hums. Looking very detached despite the tough facade he was still trying to keep up. A new face had showed up to the funeral. She had icey blue eyes, a scar on the outer corner of her left eye and wavy black hair. She gave a hefty amount of money to Baji's mother and bowed and left before anyone else could see her. Takemichi had his suspicions he knew who she was. "uh... Who is Higami Hanabi?"
Mikey has the ghost of a smile on his lips at the mere mention of the name. "My rival... I knew her since I was young just like Baji. My brother and her brother were friends and kind of rivals. Her brother was the leader of the first generation Amaterasu gang... Her brother Ryu, wanted Hanabi to be able to fight so she could protect herself so he enrolled her in the same dojo and Baji and I. That's where we met" Mikey says nostalgicly "She was the only one in the dojo that was able to tie against me while sparring... Nana... Hanabi is everything to me"
Takemichi's eyes widen at the confession. He hadn't heard of Mikey having a lover in any of the futures from Naoto. Was Higami Hanabi even alive in any of the futures? "Do you... Love her?" Takemichi asks hesitantly
It was a weird question to ask. But maybe he could work with this if the future hasn't changed. Maybe Naoto could work something out. The only thing Takemichi even knew about her was that she revived Amaterasu and was currently the largest girl gang in Tokyo. "She's an idiot" is all Mikey says but it's enough for Takemichi to know he does
"Why did Hanabi...san... Leave Toman?"
Mikey's smile fades. Takemichi wonders just how much information he'd be able to get out of Mikey right now. "The day my big brother died was the same day Hanabi's brother died... murdered right in front of her. She was devastated and left Toman. I haven't seen her since... I don't know exactly when she revived her brother's gang but I want to see her again, Takemitchy. I miss her so much" Mikey says
It was odd to see Mikey laying his heart out. About a girl that too. If you asked Takemichi he would have thought Mikey wasn't into relationships. But it seems just maybe, even if Valhalla was now a Toman division, things could be looking up.
As Hanagaki Takemichi leaves the past after being promoted to Tokyo Manji Gang's first division captain, Sano Emma sheds tears at the sight of a long lost friend.
At the same time, Kisaki Tetta creates backup plans and more backup plans and comes across a Polaroid picture of two black-haired males and one white-haired kid.
If all else fails there will always be that monster to manipulate.
