I wake up in the middle of a forest. The trees around me block the sun creating darkness. It is very quiet and still except for a faint breathing. I turn around suddenly to see a girl- Via. Relieved, I let out a sigh. Are least it was not a beast of some sort. I crawl over to her and check her wound on her head. When I was about thirteen I took an interest in becoming a doctor but by my fifteenth birthday I found the subject boring. When I finally became sixteen I had obtained random knowledge about wounds. By the looks of the slash, it would heal soon because it wasn't that large. I touch the back of her head with my fingers. A small bump in the back-she must have been knocked in the back of her skull- most likely no damage except a headache. I shake her lightly trying to wake her up but nothing happens. They must have hit her hard.

"Why did they send us here?" I ask unconscious Via even though I knew there would be no response.

I try to wake her up by shaking her lightly and saying "Via" over and over but I didn't want to be to loud. There may be other animals lurking.

Leaves rustle up in the tree above us. Panicked, I back away hoping its not a ferocious beast. I grab Via's arms and start to drag her away as silent as I can but it was too late. Something leaps at us from above I jump back and scream.

The only thing I see before I turn to run and carelessly leave Via on the floor is bright green eyes.
