One year later...

Allie recovered after 3 years of being in the hospital. She tried to get her life back together after everything that had happened.

She was now on her way to do her monthly check ups at the hospital.

She was walking down the street when she saw a bakery in front of the hospital. She went in and looked at the pastries.

Her eyes were glued to a certain thing that was lying on the shelf. She slowly went closer to it and tears began to fall.

It was a cream bread. Her comfort food. The food that gave her warmth whenever she feels sad and alone. The food that reminded her of someone.

She was about to grab it when she felt a hand tap her arm.

"Are you crying?"

A little kid asked. She turned to look at the kid and she felt like crying even more.

Long lashes, soft eyes, thick brows, and pointed nose. She looked like someone Allie knew.

The child looked like Mave.

Allie kneeled and looked at the kid. Her eyes filled with longing.

"A-ah no, napuwing lang ako." She replied as she wiped her tears. The little girl tilted her head in an adorable way and scrunched her nose.

"Then let me help you remove it po! I know a way!" The little kid replied as she held both of Allie's cheeks and blew air on Allie's eyes.

Allie laughed at how cute the little kid looked, her cheeks puffed up as she blew air out of her little mouth.

"I think the dirt's gone na! Thank you, baby!" Allie replied as she stood up, ready to leave. But before she could even take another step. A small hand gripped on the end of her shirt.

"Miss pretty, can you get that for me po? I can't reach it po kasi, I want to give it to my mom po..." The kid said shyly pointing at the last cream bread on the shelf.

Allie smiled. She was about to give her the cream bread when someone yelled.

"Mal?! Baby? Asan ka?" A worried voice yelled. The kid turned to look at the person calling her.

"Mama, I'm here po!" The kid replied.

The woman then walked towards them and held the child's hand.

"I'm sorry ha! Is she bothering you ba?" The woman asked in a soft voice.

"Ah no, don't wo-" Allie's sentence were cut off by the ringing of the other woman's phone. She answered it and looked at Allie and mouthed an apology.

"I'm with Malia sa bakery right now..." The woman trailed.

"Yeah, pabalik na rin kami. Bye." The woman said before facing Allie again.

"I'm really sorry ulit sa abala... Miss?"

"Alliana Torres, Allie for short." Allie replied with a smile.

"Kayla Reyes. It was nice meeting you, Allie! Say goodbye na to ate Allie, Mal." The woman told the child.

"Bye, miss pretty..." The child sadly replied. Allie smiles and waves at the little kid.

Kayla and Malia left and Allie was left alone in the bakery. She looked at the cream bread one last time before deciding to buy it.
