Jenna's Pov:

He was so fine. It appeared as if the god took his time creating him. He was wearing sunglasses, so I could not see the color of his eyes, but he was still stunning. I may be a virgin, but I know how to appreciate good looks when I see them, and this man was smoking hot.

"Get the hell away from my son."

I quickly got up from the floor to explain that I wasn't trying to do anything to his son when he cut me off.

"I don't care what you have to say; don't make me see you near my son again."

He reached down, picked up Jamie, and walked away. Leaving me staring at his back. Damn, he didn't have to be so rude.

God, I hope I never see him again. He was so rude and didn't let me explain myself. Jamie was sweet, though I feel sorry he has such a rude father.

Gathering my things that fell on the ground and the cart, I headed to the cashier to pay for my things. I caught a glimpse of Mr. Rude as he exited the supermarket with all eyes on him.

When I left the supermarket, I had five shopping bags with me. I had to carry three on one hand and two on the other. I kept the bag with the clothes I bought in my hand, which had two shopping bags.

I headed to another store after leaving the supermarket. I needed kitchen and bathroom supplies, as well as a lot of other stuff. By the time I was finished, I had bought a lot of things. I was so glad when the store manager said they did delivery because I could not carry everything with me. Leaving the motel and room details, I was told to expect them in the evening the next day.

After waiting for almost 10 minutes, I finally got a taxi and went back to the hotel. When I arrived, I paid the driver and went inside with all of my bags.
It took me a few minutes to unpack all of the groceries, and when I was finished, I went to put the clothes I had purchased away.

Thank God I didn't leave my laptop. I sat down on the floor and began to search for any job offerings. I've been searching for awhile, and just when I was about to give up, I saw one last job offer.

It was at a school on the other side of the city. Deciding to give it a try, I filled out the form. I sent in my resume and application letter to the school's email address and prayed for good news. There was a section on the form that asked for your phone number, but since I had thrown my SIM card away at the airport, I didn't currently have one. I was going to have to get one soon.

Three hours later

Ping.

Ping.

That was my laptop. I sluggishly went to where I had plugged it in to charge and noticed that I had two new notifications. The first notification was telling me there was a new update for an app. Opening the second notification, the email I saw made me let out a squeal. The school said I should come in for an interview tomorrow. That was fast; maybe they needed a teacher quickly.

Oh my gosh, what am I going to wear?

Wait, what if I don't get the job?

How am I going to survive here without money?

With a million thoughts going through my head, I decided to do some research on the school. I took a seat on the floor with my laptop in hand. I entered its name, 'Jeffersons Elementary', and it was a school for kids aged 5-10. It was huge, bigger than my last school in Chicago. The distance was going to be an issue; if I got the job, I would have to get up really early every day to catch the bus because the school was on the other side of the city.

"I wonder how everyone back home is doing." "I wonder if Jess found the letter."
"I hope she's not looking for me."
"I hope they found a new teacher since I just left suddenly without any notice."
"I hope Maisie and Brian aren't stressing themselves out about me."
"What if-?"

My train of thought was disrupted by the rumble of my belly. I haven't even realized that I haven't eaten anything since yesterday.
Getting off the floor, I walked over to where the landline was and dialed the number that I had seen at a pizza place on my way to the grocery store. After making my order, I was told the pizza would be delivered in 30 minutes.

Since I had half an hour until the pizza arrived, I decided to take a shower. The shower took a bit longer than expected since I got lost in my thoughts again, and by the time I came out, someone was knocking at the door.

Thank God I had brought my clothes with me in the bathroom, or I would have had to answer the door in a robe.
I grabbed the money and went to open the door. The delivery man had an impatient look on his face, and it made me wonder how long he had been knocking for. Quickly apologizing, I handed him the cash and collected the pizza.

The smell of the pepperoni pizza made my belly rumble again. I didn't bother to grab a plate or anything; I just opened the box and started eating.

Pepperoni pizza is the bomb; even now, I still don't understand how Jess eats pineapple on her pizza. I mean, who would want pineapple on their pizza? But everyone has their own taste because she hates pepperoni, which I never understood why.

After finishing the box of pizza, I suddenly felt sleepy. Looking at the time, I realized it was quite late.

I need to sleep because the interview is in the morning, and I don't want to doze off during it, she mumbled while getting up to clean the trash.

I cleaned up the trash and then got ready for bed. I am so glad the furniture is coming tomorrow; I don't think I can sleep on the floor any longer.

As I drifted off to sleep, all I could think about was the interview.

Hear me out, guys. I know I said that chapter four was going to be much longer, but after thinking about it, I decided to split the long chapter into two chapters.

A/N: What do you prefer, pepperoni or pineapple pizza?
