Chapter 13

In the backyard, Bob gathered everyone together to see Jack-Jack's powers.

Bob: "Ready?"

Jack-Jack: "Beh."

Bob: "Laser eyes."

He shoots lasers from his eyes and zaps the wall.

Bob: "Stop!"

The kids and Super-Pets cheer.

Bolt: "Just imagine him, me and Red doing that at once."

Billy: "Wait so, he can understand your commands?"

Bob: "And that's not all. Watch this. Jack-Jack, blaster ready?"

He laughs. Then Bob makes shooting noises and small lasers come out like a gun. The kids get excited and Dash runs around Bob, then he Violet, Miles, and Vanellope try to grab Jack-Jack and fire lasers. Bob held on to him.

Bob: "No firing the baby around the house. You understand? This is potentially dangerous. And we're trying to teach him to control his powers, okay?"

Krypto: "Ha, that'll take some time."

Chip: "Why are you looking at us? It didn't take us that long to figure out our powers."

Krypto: "Uh-huh, okay."

Bomb: "Hey, the screen is beeping."

Bob: "Stop! See the screen."

Merton: "What's he gonna do now?"

Jack-Jack disappeared into thin air.

Violet: "He vanished! That's really cool!"

Ian: "Just like you!"

Mittens: "Uh, he could be anywhere now."

Nick: "We should've taken him inside before he vanished."

Bob: "You can't determine when he'll do it. At least not yet."

Violet began walking inside the house with the monitor to track him.

Bob: "Okay good, use the thing. That's the current readout. Click it. See the readout? Dimension four. See the shape? That's the room. See where he is in relation? So, where is he?"

Miles: "Mind if I try?"

Violet hands him the monitor and he searches for Jack-Jack. He was able to find him on the rocks near the stairway.

Bob: "Okay, come out. Num-Num cookie?"

Dash rushes to the rocks where Jack-Jack reappears. He hands him the cookie and the rest cheer.

All: "Yay Jack-Jack!"

Violet: "That's really cool."

Rhino: "So awesome!"

Chuck: "Oh, can he go fast?"

Vanellope: "Can he glitch?"

Red: "We oughta make a list of all his powers."

Miles: "He has more powers than you, Billy."

Billy: "Oh yeah sure. I doubt that."

Bob and Nick hear alarms. They head towards different rooms. Bob raises part of the bookshelf to see his phone line buzzing.

Bob: "Hello?"

Evelyn: "Elastigirl's in trouble."

Bob: "What? What happened to her?"

Evelyn: "Sorry to tell you on the phone. Meet me on our ship at DevTech."

Bob: "The ship at DevTech, I'll be there in 15 minutes."
