~To The Story~

So you couldn't get sick and end up going to school anyway.

Your stomach was bothering you, but that's only because of the anxiety and not because you're sick. Honestly, what bad luck you have. You caught the flu during last year's culture festival, and you got sick during the day your parents were going to take you and your sister to an amusement park.

'Why can't my body get sick when I want it to?' You thought annoyingly as you shuffled slowly across the school's courtyard.

You were in no hurry to get to homeroom. A couple of your friends are already in the classroom. Probably trying to get a few laughs out about you before you come in.

You could always go to the library and pretend to study (code for secretly watching anime) just before the rings. But what about lunch? You don't want to spend a single coin on them anymore. Gakushu doesn't go to the same school as you, so hanging out with him is out of the question.

No, wait. Why is hanging out with Gakushu even an option in the first place?

You clicked your tongue, annoyed that he's been on your head since yesterday.

You thought jokingly that you could find some other loner to hang out with.

You weren't actually going to do that, but that still didn't stop you from thinking about the redhead boy you saw yesterday.

...

You took another few steps before stopping as the memory of your interaction with him started to play in your head.

Like a thunderbolt, it hit you.

Of course, he wouldn't want to hang out with you. Remember how you spoke to him the other day?

"At least I'm not some loner everyone is scared of!"

Oh shit, oh crap!

Way to go (y/n), you pissed off the scariest kids in school.

You whipped your head around, looking to see if you could spot the redhead before he could spot you. Ok, the coast looks clear. No wait, he could be waiting for you by your shoe locker.

With the colour of your skin slowly draining from your face, you gulped. Now, you weren't slowly shuffling across the courtyard. You were running to the inside and stopped and hid behind a locker. You peeked over to spy on your locker.

You don't see anyone waiting for you there. Just students getting their shoes out of their lockers.

Is this how your school life will be in the next two years? Hiding from a guy who can very easily kick your ass?

You quietly whined, knowing you would have to fix this, and by that, you meant you would have to talk to Karma.

"I wish I did get sick," you mumbled.

.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.

You found Karma sitting at the same spot he was in yesterday. It was almost as if he never moved.

He hasn't spotted you yet, only cause you kept your distance, trying to muster up the courage to approach him. You nervously fidgeted with the milk carton you bought and started to wonder whether this was a good idea. What if he doesn't accept your apology?

You suddenly remembered the upperclassmen with a broken nose and black eye last year and gulped.

That could be you if you willingly walk up to him. Actually, one way or another, he could track you down and break you himself.
