The US Army, unlike all other armies in this world, is completely mechanized, the Pentomic doctrine which had been envisioned for an atomic battlefield and has been replaced by the old doctrines of the Korean War given the lack for now of atomic devices in this world, the helicopter branch is selling studied given the great distances in this world
Aviation: 1.296.389 soldiers/airmen on active duty
The US Air Force is the most advanced air force in this world with Jets that can exceed the speed of sound and long range bombers ready to drop America's atomic fist over every enemy nation
But the majority of the fighter force is still made up of Korean War veteran F-86s, but new planes are starting to take their place.
The bomber force is starting to think more about supporting ground forces instead of the long-range bombing of enemy cities that characterized their birth after World War II but remains a large part of their doctrine in a real war against a nation with ability to block the U.S. Army
Navy: 1.140.693 sailors on active duty
The US Navy used to be the largest navy in our land but is now a little underpowered for the new world, but with the new Manila project the navy is recalling all the strength it kept in reserve fleets which for now contain more than 2000 ships but which in 1959 will contain 0 ships and is preparing to accept many hundreds of new ships which Congress has accepted the construction for fiscal year 1959
Marines: 385.900 Marines on active duty
The Marines who for a few years in our world were in danger of being disbanded are now needed more than ever, given that they were born to protect American interests far from the continent, now with all these new distant lands they will have a lot of work to do
